THE COUNTRY BOY THAT GOD CALLED TO THE NATIONS

By BISHOP BILL ROGERS

Missionary to Sixty-Eight Nations

Hello,

This is Brother Bill Rogers, Pastor of the Church of God in Fulton, Missouri, and an International Missionary to sixty-eight nations. Peace, health, prosperity, vision, revelation, wisdom, knowledge, and understanding are granted unto the entire body of Christ in all nations, races, languages, and tongues. In Revelation 12: II it is written, "And they overcame him by the blood of the lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they loved not their lives unto the death."

I would like to share a portion of my personal testimony. I was born May 1, 1923, in Orange County, North Carolina, about four miles from Rougemont. My father and mother, William Richard Rogers and Julia Anne Lunsford Rogers both came from a farming background and were farming when I was a child. At the age of six I entered Cowell School, which was only in session six months out of the year. My father then moved the family from his mother's farm to my grandfather's farm four miles away. I entered my second year of school at Helena, from which I graduated on April 30, 1941.

I came from a family that seldom attended church, even though both my father and mother were members of Baptist churches. My father never did claim to be saved, but he always made sure the pastor received his salary. My mother wasn't saved until many years later when she was about sixty years old. While she was visiting us for a few days here in Fulton, Missouri, she attended our Wednesday night service. I was preaching from Joshua 24: 14, "Choose you this day whom you will serve." She prayed through and became a devout Christian. Both of my parents have been deceased for some time now.

As with many country boys, sports were a big part of my life. While growing up on a farm around the Helena community in Timberlake, North Carolina, I played on a high school baseball team. I had a lifetime high school batting average of333, and played right field. We went to the state championship two years out of three, but sadly we never won the title.

In the latter part of high school I begged my father to let me go into the navy. He had been in World War I and refused to let me go. Finally, one morning in early November of 1942 he said to me, "I'm going to turn you loose, and let you do what you want." With a borrowed ten-dollar bill, three dollars my mother gave me, and a dollar given by my father, I set off for the recruiter's office. I hitchhiked to Raleigh, North Carolina, on Thanksgiving morning, 1942, rainstorm, without a hat, to join the V.S. Navy.

While in the navy, I was stationed at many places. I served on the M.S. Somel Dike, transport rented from the Dutch Navy, which was later sunk at Sipan. I was stationed on Beneka Island, sixty miles north of Guadalcanal. Things really started off with a bang. When we landed at Beneka, a French Captain got his signals crossed and rammed us onto a corral reef. They to float all fifty of us men on steel barges onto Beneka during an air raid. God had mercy, and we didn't lose a man.

Later, I was assigned to the V.S.S. Carton APA 7, and was a part of the navy beach landing party. I had taken commando training with the C.B.'s and the Marine Corp in Stock California, prior to my time of leaving for overseas. This training served me well, as I took part in the Okinawa assault. It was quite a battle, but again, through God's mercy I came through without a scratch.

When I returned home I managed to get a job as an umpire in professional baseball. was in the old Kitty League, which is the oldest league in organized ball. From there I went the Mountain State League, and God began to deal with my heart. In late September of 1948 a Sunday afternoon in Morristown, Tennessee, during the playoffs, I threw the hometown manager out of the game. His team threw a bottle at me, but it hit the man standing next to me.  There were police all around trying to contain the violence. During all this chaos, I heard these words, "Bill, you ought to be in church." At that time, I chose to ignore the Lord's voice.

2

After returning home, I got in serious trouble fighting with three city policemen in Burlington, North Carolina. I was drinking heavily, and was fighting with a guy. The police tried to pull me off of him, and I hit one of the policemen. Of course, we wound up in a terrible brawl! After being "blackjacked", it took a week for the swelling to leave my face. So much for all that!

God continued to deal in earnest with me. On the first Sunday night of January 1949, I walked with my mother and another elderly lady to a little Church of God on Wicker Street in Burlington, North Carolina. There were about fifteen people there, including a young lady named Becky Burch. Becky and I were later married on August 4 of that year.

I went to service three times a week for five long months before I went to the altar for salvation. God miraculously saved me. I threw my cigarettes out the window, went home and poured out a bottle of whiskey, got rid of my dice and gambling cards, and began to really seek the Lord. A few months later, after I was saved and married, I was sanctified one Sunday morning. Until this day I have had no problem guarding my conversation. I have not taken God's name in vain, told any dirty jokes, or used any filthy language. God did a great work!

My life was soon to see many great changes. About six months later, on a Wednesday night at exactly midnight, I was on my knees in the Church of God in Burlington, North Carolina. I received the baptism of the Holy Ghost and began to speak in tongues as the Holy Ghost gave utterance.

Called to the Ministry - September 1951

Later that year, the Church of God State overseer, W. I. Bass, the man who had led me to the Lord, ordained me a deacon. That same year we moved to South Boston, Virginia, and I received my evangelist license.

On August 10, 1951, the pastor of the Church of God in Jackson, North Carolina, and I went fishing. We rented a boat, and got so busy catching fish that we lost track of both time and our location. We caught 110 fish in about forty-five minutes. I had two hooks on a line, and every time I brought up I had one on each hook. We didn't realize the tide was washing us out to sea. Suddenly, we looked up and saw the sun was setting. We began to pray, and finally I saw a tugboat coming in the distance. I got up and began to wave my handkerchief. It was an act of God; he let the tugboat see us. They came by and threw me a line, and as I braced my foot against the box of the boat, the tugboat pulled us to safety.

In 1952, I returned to my hometown, Roxboro, North Carolina. In the years since I had been saved and called to preach, no one had seen me. During a street service on a hot summer day, 1 begin to read a few verses from the New Testament. The Spirit of God worked, so that people just began to shut their motors off and park in the street. The traffic became jammed and the police lost control. People became so interested in the message that nobody would move on. They listened until 1 got through with my sermon. When I gave the invitation, sixteen came and prayed there in the street, all of them in tears.

The County Sheriff, Clarence Holman, my father's cousin, came out of the Courthouse to congratulate me and shake hands. 1 did not mention money, but several people called for me to come out into the street to shake hands with them in the car. They would put a dollar into my hand. I had two pockets full of dollar bills, and 1 had not asked anyone for an offering. My wife heard the police talking, and one of them said, "1 sure would like to shut his big mouth." The other policemen answered, "Well, listen we better leave him alone. We can't whip the whole town." I've never seen anything like it, before or since.

In August of 1954, my family and 1 were on our way to the International Convention in Greenville, Tennessee. We had to go through Asheville, North Carolina, seven miles straight up the mountain. After five miles, the car blew a head gasket. Becky and 1 turned the car around by

4

hand on that steep mountain, let it roll back to the bottom, and went up another way. We drove on to Greenville, stopping every ten miles to put water in the radiator. Life is not always easy serving the Lord.

By October of 1955, I was pastoring two churches. One was in South Boston, Virginia, and I was trying to start another one in Auspice, North Carolina, sixty-two miles away. We would preach in South Boston on Sunday morning, and then the family and I would head straight for Auspice. We would stop and get Pepsi's and crackers for the children, but I seldom ate.

Brother Sanders, a Baptist deacon, was attending, and he was paying the rent on the building. This Sunday afternoon the rent was due, and it was raining hard as I went into the church. Sister McGuire, a minister, was sitting in the car with my wife and two children. I knew that Brother Sanders didn't have any way to get there, except to ride a bicycle seven miles.

I got down at the altar and began to pray, "God, stop the rain if you want me to continue trying to start this church, so Brother Sanders can ride his bicycle to church." God stopped the rain instantly. In about a half-hour, in came Brother Sanders with the rent money. I did not know anyone was listening to me, but Sister McGuire and my wife both will testify that they heard my prayer, as God did.

Within ten minutes, the house was packed with people from four or five different Pentecostal organizations. I began to preach on Romans 8: 1, "There is, therefore, now no condemnation of them that walk after the Spirit, not after the flesh." Right at the height of my message, the Holy Ghost came upon me mightily, and I spoke in tongues three times. There was a lady pastor there with the gift of interpretation. She had been used mightily in the Church of God General Assemblies. She arose and gave the interpretation to all three messages. I had just prophesied, 'That the time had come when hypocrites would go out of the Church of God door headfirst." The interpretation came, "Fear not, my son. For thy prophecies shall surely come to

5

pass." Since then, I have seen someone fall dead in a church service, who was trying to cause confusion. God is true to His Word!

Ordained as a Bishop in the Church of God

On March 2, 1956, in Burgamontain, North Carolina, I was ordained as a bishop by Homer A. Tomlinson, the oldest son of A.J. Tomlinson, the founder of the Church of God and J.H. Wyatt, the state overseer of North Carolina. I have served as a bishop since that time.

I pastored in Roseboro a number of years, and then became a national evangelist for the Church of God. Headquarters sent our family to approximately forty-seven states. We pulled a house trailer from church to church, and I preached the Gospel. Every eleventh day, we would be on the road to make the next appointment in ten-night schedules.

In March of 1956, we pulled a house trailer from Burlington, North Carolina, all the way to South Carolina, Georgia, Alabama, and finally into Fulton, Mississippi without any brakes on the trailer. It was a large trailer, and the car could hardly pull it. I would run wide-open going down hill to make it up the next hill. It was the mercy of God that we made it.

As we arrived in Fulton, something happened to the motor, and there was a big explosion in our 1949 Dodge. It shook the hood of the car so, that it blew the letter D off the hood. The motor was entirely tom-up, but the church fixed it for us. We had six weeks of meetings there in Fulton.

When we arrived in Fulton for the first time, in August of 1957, the temperature was exactly 105 degrees. The pastor and I went out the next morning to look at my car and trailer. The two front tires were worn down to the fabric. It was only by the mercy of God that they hadn't blown out. Oh, how the angels of God have encamped round about me and my family!

6

We went on to Alabama. Some men in a trailer park sold me brakes for my trailer very cheap, and we put them on. From March until September that year, we pulled that trailer through thirteen states and back through six of them the second time, for the ten-day revivals. We saw many souls come to Christ and many outstanding healings.

In 1956 I was conducting a revival in Indianapolis, for Reverend William Reynolds, the pastor of the Church of God. I would preach on the Kingdom of God night after night. I didn't mention jewelry or anything like that, but many women and some men pulled their jewelry off. The power of God was working so. The pastor's wife had been blind in her left eye for thirty years, since she had been hit with a rock when she was a seven-year-old. I touched her, and she fell out in the Spirit. She arose screaming, "I can see, I can see!"

The next night I prayed for a lady with a bad back. As I was praying for her two other women standing out in the yard received healing on their backs. The house was so full that they could not get in. I prayed for a Catholic lady who had won a large lawsuit because of an injury. As I prayed for her, her back jumped into place. It sounded like a twenty-gauge shotgun going off. The company demanded one more physical exam, and because of her healing she lost the entire lawsuit. Oh, how the Spirit of God worked in that revival!

I was in revival in Scottsville, Kentucky, and every night that I preached someone came to the altar and got saved. One night six were filled with the Holy Ghost, three of whom later became preachers. Many were pulling off their jewelry and laying their cigarettes on the altar. It was the power of God working. When the real Holy Ghost is working, people will clean their lives up.

In the summer of 1961 at Reverend Kelly Talbot's church at 126 North Handy Street in Sikeston, Missouri, I was preaching from Psalm 19. The sermon was on how men would go to the moon in the near future. At the end of my forty-five minute sermon, I stepped out in front of the congregation of mostly ministers and made this statement. "If I am right, let it thunder,

7

Lord." Instantly, it thundered. Again I asked the Lord to let it thunder again if I was really right. It thundered so loudly that it shook the building. I said, "Lord, ifl'm really right, let it rain." Instantly, it started raining, and it rained three inches in forty-five minutes. Reverend Talbot's wife wrote a report of this and it appeared in the Church of God paper later that year. Reverend Bill Kitchen, who is the pastor of the Church of God in Cape Girardeau, Missouri, and his entire family were present and will verify this happening. His address is 608 Albert Street, Cape Girardeau, Missouri.

When I was a very young minister I fasted and prayed for five years, two or three days a week for the Gift of tongues. It was several years before it fell on me. I just praise God for the Spirit. I always want to live where He can use me.

God has blessed many with His healing power throughout my ministry. In April of 1956, in a place called Ryans, near Golden, Mississippi, I prayed for Sister Cummins. She had a large black cancer hanging off of her forehead, and two days later, after prayer, it fell off.

Sister May Langley of Fulton had a goiter for twenty-five years. While I was praying, it vanished. Her daughter, Norma Myers, also had a tumor so large she looked like she was about six months pregnant. While we were praying, it was taken away. She lives in Mexico, Missouri, and still comes to church occasionally and testifies to this miracle. Many people witnessed these healings.

Art and Faye Christian of Auxvasse, Missouri, were both healed of hernias instantly in our service here at the Church of God, 201 Westminster, in Fulton, Missouri a few years ago.

Life as A National Evangelist

In January of 1956, I had to borrow ten dollars to buy my ticket to Cody, Tennessee, for my first revival the headquarters had scheduled. I arrived there by Greyhound bus at 4:00 a.m.

8

that morning, and walked a mile from the station downtown. From there I hitchhiked a ride to the church. When I arrived in Cody, the pastor told me, "I closed my church last night and gave my last offering." I was stranded there on the mountain with only two dollars in my pocket. Later that day, the pastor put me out on the highway. I hitchhiked all day long in the rain, clear across the state to Carthage without an overcoat or hat.

Most of the rides I caught would be only for ten or fifteen miles, but the last ride I caught took me about fifty miles. It was warm in the car, I went to sleep, and the man went a mile past my destination. When I woke up, I told him that we had gone too far, but he said, " I don't have time to take you back." He put me out there at the stop light in Carthage, Tennessee, on the highway in the pouring down rain.

I walked about a mile back to the church, and thankfully it was open. I went in, but I couldn't find any matches to re-light the coal stove. I just lay down on the bench and drifted off to sleep in my cold wet clothes. I woke up at 6:00 p.m. with the saints and the pastor standing around me. I preached there that night, and I took up a $6.50 offering. The next morning, Bishop Calvin Thane, the pastor, took me to Nashville, Tennessee, which is fifty-one miles away.

I caught a bus to Alamo, Tennessee. When I arrived in Alamo it was pouring down rain, and I had only ninety-five cents in my pocket. I walked from the bus station to the cabstand and asked the cab driver if he knew Sam Woods, at whose home I was to stay. He said, "Yes, and the fare to the Wood's home is $1.00." I asked if he would take me as far as ninety-five cents would go, but he carried me all the way to the Wood's home.

On the day the meetings were to begin it was raining so hard the dirt and rock roads were almost closed to traffic. To bring people to the meetings, the pastor, Cecil Baker, and I covered a wagon, hooked a tractor to it, and put two bal~s of hay in the back. They were having church in the old Anchor Bend Dance Hall until they could get funds together to build a church. Oh, how our God gave a mighty revival!

9

Sister Peggy Brooks, who still goes to the Church of God in Alamo, called me one night about twenty years ago. She told me she had a tumor on her brain as large as a fifty-cent piece. I prayed for her over the telephone. The next day they took her to Memphis for a check-up, and they have not been able to find the tumor to this day. I was back to visit her church in April of 1997, and they have a nice church building now.

In January 1956, in Carthage, Tennessee, Bishop Calvin Baine and I prayed for twenty-five people in one week, and twenty-four were healed instantly. Bishop Blaine is still the pastor there. We witnessed a cancer fall off the top of a hand, and two young ladies, whom doctors had diagnosed as having tumors on their wombs, were healed instantly. One woman who had been bedridden with tuberculosis for six months was healed instantly. I prayed for her at noon, and by 3:00 that afternoon, she was downtown in Carthage at Kroger's grocery store pushing her own cart. All the glory be to God!

The wife and I raised three children without buying any aspirins, cough syrup, metholaid, or anything like that. We trusted God. We would pray, and God would heal them. Our last child was born at home on April 25, 1955, in Ausipie, North Carolina. My wife almost died with the first two children in the hospital, so we asked several different preachers for anointed cloths.

Becky went into labor and half-an-hour later we had a daughter. Doctor Smith, of

Ausipie, had been checking my wife occasionally through the pregnancy. He was at the birthing, but did not treat Becky until after the child was born. I wrote him a check for $50.00, and he said, "Thank you, Reverend Rogers, I like to do business with people like you."

Becky got along perfectly, but our daughter was born with a clubfoot. At just over the age of six months, God healed her instantly as she lay in her bed. A doctor had never touched her. She is now a mother of two children. She returned to William Woods University at the age of thirty-seven to get her teaching degree. Oh how great is our God!

 To Top of page

We have pastored in South Boston, Virginia; Roseboro, North Carolina; Hooker, Georgia; Sapulpa, Oklahoma; and twice here at Fulton, Missouri. I have spent much time in the state of Kentucky running revivals, and I have worked throughout the years with many pastors such as Bishop Moore and Herbert Graves. I have preached many times in the state of Tennessee. I have spoken at 132 courthouses throughout the nation and at many state capitals.

God Does the Impossible

I have seen the impossible happen many times during my ministry. I remember one Sunday morning when we were pastoring in Roseboro, North Carolina. When I awoke I found there was no food in the house. I borrowed my neighbor's car, and I headed for the grocery store. On the way, I stopped by the Jim Weaver farm. Lo and behold, Jim met me at the door with a gallon of milk, a fresh frying-size chicken, and a big watermelon. We have seen the mighty hand of God and His provision.

It was during the time we were building the church at Roseboro, North Carolina that I was cutting logs for seventy-five cents an hour. It was January, and I was wading around with no boots and in mud up to my knees. God undertook that I did not get a cold. My job was to snake the logs out with a gray mule called Kate. All the men on the job were unsaved but me, but I would preach to them constantly.

Finally, one day they said, "You are the only one, Preacher, who can handle old Kate." The rest of them would get to cursing and beat her, and she would get hung up. Old Kate and I got along so well that I would just hitch her up, put the snags on a log, and then let old Kate come out of the bottoms or the jungles alone.. I would go on my way, and have no problem with the mule whatsoever. I tried to explain to the men that the difference was that I had Christ and

11

that I had been sanctified. All the Adamic nature had been taken out of me. I won their respect, and many of them defended me when anyone would say anything critical of me.

Once, while we were pastoring at Roseboro, some people brought us some honey that had broken glass in the bottom of the jar. Because we needed the food, we ate the honey. God undertook that if we swallowed any of the glass, it did not bother us. Oh, how great is our God!

God shows His provision in many ways. Perry Ball and Henry Gohring, who were on my church board here at Fulton, Missouri, and I drove a 1959 Lark Studebaker to the Ozarks. One night we ran of gas coming down a hill. In the wee hours of the morning we continued to pray, and we drove for another thirty-five miles. Both Perry and Henry have gone on to their reward, but Perry's children are still living, and they will testify to that today. They are located in Clark, Missouri, and in Columbia, Missouri. Oh, the miracles I have seen God do!

During my first time of pasturing here in Fulton, for a period of eight years and ten months no one in our congregation went to a doctor. If anything happened, they would call me to pray and God would heal them. I preached divine healing. The wife and I practiced it, the congregation practiced it, and God answered prayer and healed.

I remember one time in Scottsville, Kentucky, in the big tabernacle there I preached forty-two nights in succession, two services a day. Oh, how God did work! I shall never forget it! One night in a tent there in Scottsville, a young man got into the wrong spirit and was about to tear the tent down. The Spirit of God came upon me, and I cast the devil out of him, and he fell and became very calm.

A sister by the name of Lucille Rich, the wife of Raymond Rich, a General Baptist preacher, came to that tent one night. She asked me to lay hands on her so that she might receive the Holy Ghost. I laid hands on Sister Rich and she began to speak in tongues at length. Bishop Herbert Graves, who is still at the Cedar Street Church of God there in Scottsville, told me only a

12

few months ago that this was the first time he had seen anyone receive the Holy Ghost when a preacher laid hands on her.

One night in the Free Will Holiness church in Burlington, North Carolina, after I preached, I laid hands on fourteen people and they all received the Holy Ghost and spoke in tongues. The wife and I returned to the church fourteen years later, during Christmas of 1971. Six of those who were in that earlier service were there that morning, and they reminded me of when I had laid hands on them. Later, I would see many receive the Holy Ghost when I laid hands on them throughout the world.

Missionary Trips Begin

The time came for me to go on my first missionary trip. In November of 1960, I was pastoring here in Fulton, Missouri. Bishop Homer Tomlinson called me from World Headquarters in Queens Village, New York. "Brother Rogers, meet me in Miami. I want you to go with me to Cuba."

Castro had recently taken over Cuba, and he was a rough and wild man at the time. The officials of Pan Am Air Transit Company followed us to the plane, and offered us our money back, begging us not to go to Havana. The plane could hold 109 passengers, but we were the only two passengers on it.

I will never forget how one of Castro's soldiers held a machine gun within a foot of my stomach with his finger on the trigger, as I was walked down the gangplank at high noon on November 11, 1960. I have never felt so much love and power in my life. I had no fear. The Salvation Army was at the airport, and they were standing over on the other side singing in Spanish, "It is so sweet to trust in Jesus." I don't know a word in Spanish. The Holy Ghost gave me the interpretation as I was looking down that machine gun barrel. The other preacher with

13

me, Bishop Tomlinson, knew Spanish well. I checked it out later, and found the interpretation of the song was correct.

We were temporarily arrested, but in about an hour we were released. We were placed in a taxicab, and a CIA agent began to interrogate us. 1 was in the front seat and Bishop Tomlinson was in the back. He just remained quiet while the CIA agent was interrogating me. In about an hour, the agent said something about baseball.  I replied, "I have a good friend over here -Valdez, a famous catcher. We broke into the leagues together, and I used to throw him out of ball games."

"Valdez is your friend?" I answered, "Yes, I would sure like to see him." The agent told me Valdez had been hurt in the Caribbean series yesterday. We began to talk about baseball. In a little bit he looked at the taxi cab driver and said in Spanish, "Take these two preachers on to the Havana Hotel."

The next morning we both preached on the Grand Capital steps. The United Press,

Associated Press, and the local press were standing by, as were many soldiers with bayonets, rifles, and large knives strapped to them. The Holy Ghost fell on me, and 1 danced in the Spirit and spoke in tongues on the Grand Capital steps there in Havana, on November 12, 1960, in front of the press and military. How great is the power of our God!

Back in the United States, I was preaching in the high school in Hannibal, Missouri, some forty years ago. A detective on the Hannibal police force came out to stop me. I got to preach to him, and the Holy Ghost came upon me. He became frightened and dropped his credentials, and one of the men with me picked them up for him. The police detective went away saying, "I will not hinder any religious service."

On my twenty-two-nation trip 1 will never forget how God miraculously worked. Beloved, I want to tell you something. I stood on Mount Zion in October of 1971 and I blew a

14

bull's horn, using it as a trumpet. Another preacher and I announced the end of the Vietnam War, and in a matter of weeks, the war stopped.

Earlier, I also gave an interpretation in Faith Tabernacle in Paris, Missouri, that the war would soon stop. Pastor McGee and many other preachers who were there will testify to that interpretation. The Holy Ghost came on me; there was a message and an interpretation given. I want you to know, Beloved, when you are living and walking in the Spirit your prophesies will come to pass, because you will only speak as the Holy Ghost moves upon you.

For a number of years I was out of missionary work, and preached here in the states at many churches, including the Log Cabin Church of God in New Salisbury, Indiana, the Samson Street Church of God in Glasgow, Kentucky, and in Brush Creek and Carthage, Tennessee.

My Presidential Campaign

On March 20, 1960, the Theocratic Party was organized here in Fulton in the church that I pastored. It was exactly one hundred years from the date of the organization of the Republican Party. I was the first national chairman, and the vice presidential candidate in 1964, and the presidential candidate in the 1968 election.

I started campaigning in September 1965, in Bowling Green, Kentucky. As I marched around the courthouse, a bunch of the county officials were hanging their heads out of the windows laughing, mocking, and making fun of me. The Spirit of God came upon me, and I leaped in the air and spoke in tongues. I pointed my finger at that courthouse and said, "If there is any corruption in that courthouse, it will burst."

Twenty- four hours later to the minute, this brand new courthouse burst across the front, and the front porch broke loose. The newspaper and television reporters went back to take pictures. Their articles proclaimed "Prophesy Fulfilled." There are thousands of people in

15

Kentucky, Tennessee, and Indiana living today that watched it, read it in the paper, or saw it on the television news. You can check this out with the newspaper and Channel 13 television in Bowling Green, Kentucky.

By 1966, I had been in thirty-two states, twenty-two nations, traveled seventy-six thousand miles, thirty-five thousand miles by air, and four thousand miles by car or bus.

Everywhere I went, I announced that there would be a shaking and an uncovering of the entire worldwide political system. Has it not happened? Yes, my prophecies have come to pass.

In January of 1966, I was running for president of the United States and campaigning through many states. In that year's snowstorm, I made New York, Pennsylvania, and all the Eastern states in one trip. I was at Scranton, Pennsylvania, walking around the courthouse, and the snow was about knee deep. After I walked around seven times, I made my speech and spoke on prophecy for about twenty minutes. A Catholic priest was in the audience, and he invited me to his home, but I told him 1 must go to the bus station. He said, "If you miss the bus, I will chase the bus down for you."

I went with him to his apartment, and we drank a cup of coffee. We went to prayer, and suddenly I felt an arm drop over me. I looked up, and it was the priest. He said, "Brother, I never have seen a man get so personal, to commit himself, and volunteer to God as you are." I said, "How do you know this? I have just been praying in tongues."

He said, "I am a student of Hebrew, and 1 know every word that you said. You were volunteering, and saying to the Lord, 'Here am I, send me.' You dedicated and committed yourself, and praised and thanked God for His love and the way he was blessing you. You made a commitment to be a vessel in his hand." That happened in January 1966, in Scranton, Pennsylvania, when I was in the height of my Theocratic Party presidential campaign.

While in a Kansas City courthouse, I beat on the Sheriff s desk and on the desk in the lobby announcing, "If there is any corruption in this courthouse, it will be uncovered." The next

16

day the sheriff himself was arrested and charged with starving prisoners. At least one person was caught because of corruption in all132 courthouses I went to, including the courthouse here in Fulton, Missouri.

At many of the courthouses here in America, I would point or beat my fist on the desk of some county official and say, "If there is any corruption in this courthouse, or in this office, you are going to get caught." I will give you an example. In Independence, Missouri, the county clerk was former President Harry Truman's first cousin. I beat on his desk with my fist and spoke, "If there is any corruption in the courthouse or in this office, you will soon be caught." The next day Truman's cousin was arrested for the embezzlement of$10,000. This is on record.

I stood on the capital steps of the state house in Nashville, Tennessee, and then went to the Governor's office and begged him to come out, but he wouldn't. I announced, "If there is any corruption here, it will be uncovered." Two of our pastors, Reverend Fred Fisher and Bishop Carlos McGown, later told me there were thirty-four arrested in that capital in the next few months, and many of them were in the penitentiary.

When I was campaigning for president, I think it was in May of 1967, I made a stop in Columbia, Missouri. I would always go through the courthouse shaking hands with the officials. When I attempted to shake hands with the sheriff of Boone County, he began to run. That night it was on Channel 8 television, showing the sheriff running through the courthouse, and me running after him to shake hands. The following people are witnesses to this: Omar Ball, who is a male nurse at the V A Hospital in Columbia, Henry Ball from Wentzville, Missouri, David Ball of Hallsville, Missouri, and Yvonne Gohring from near St. Louis. Thousands of people in Boone and Callaway County saw it on Channel 8 that night.

Some of the greatest miracles I had were in the days when I was running for president of the United States on the Theocratic Party ticket. People would call me from allover the nation for prayer. I would pray for them over the telephone, and God would heal them.

17

Beloved, I did not expect to be elected president at that time, although I do not want you to rule me out in the future. I know God had called me to set up his government on the earth, and I know he has placed the trumpet in my hand to blow unto the nations. I contact all one hundred U.S. senators, all fifty governors, the Supreme Court, and the President two or three times yearly, warning them that God's people are soon going to take over.

I am not ruling myself out of a very important political position somewhere in the future. I don't know if it will be the President of the United States, an advisor to him, or an ambassador to the UN. I feel it is something like that. I know God has called me to set up his government on the earth, and I must be about His business. I will not deny it for any man.

Back to the Mission Field - Haiti

I became the first white man to go on Mount Maroseau on my fourth trip to Haiti in 1979. I had to walk over six miles to get up there. Even though missionaries had been in the area for over one hundred years, no white man had ever walked this mountain. The only way up is to walk or ride a small horse. They had no roads, no post office, and no school on this mountain. There is one mud church for five thousand people, and it has no seats.

On the morning of August 27th, the interpreter woke me up and I arose and shaved. They called me to breakfast, and I took a look at the small amount of food that had been prepared for the six of us. I asked the blessing, ate five bites, and then stepped back so the others could eat. We then started our journey up Mount Maroseau. I walked all the way. The local pastors rode small horses. I should mention here that there was only one bed for twenty-seven people in the home at the foot of the mountain where I had spent the night, if I remember correctly. They insisted I sleep in it. The other twenty-six slept on the dirt floor.

18

After I arrived at the top of Mount Maroseau, I went to the small mud church. I prayed for over an hour, mostly in tears. Soon the church and the churchyard were both filled with people. I preached for an hour, and sixty came for salvation. Almost no one had seen a white man before. After the service, I walked back down the mountain, and preached four times that night.

About a week before I left for Haiti, Sister Lucille Campbell of Auxvasse, Missouri, the wife, and I were praying. The Holy Ghost gave a message and the interpretation was, "The sea will get vicious, the waves will rage, the wind will howl, but I will give you power over it. If you will claim it, it will be like it was with Paul. Not one of you will be lost." I went on to Iaiti, and forgot the message.

I arrived in the mountains, and when I went to get my ticket reconfirmed, people were taping up the windows and there was hardly anyone on the street. About 5:30 p.m., I began to ask questions, and they said, "Hurricane David is due in here at 7:00, and it's not even leaving a Janana stalk on many of the islands in the Caribbean." Then the Holy Ghost brought the message that was given back to me, and I told it to some of the pastors.

I was standing in the driveway of Pastor Antonio's house. Many pastors were standing behind me at 6:45 p.m. when I lifted my hands and commanded Hurricane David not to come into Haiti, but to go back out to sea. It did. I went to bed at 7:30 p.m. and slept until 3:30 a.m. without turning over. The only nation in the entire Caribbean where not one person was killed or injured was Haiti! Check the records please. There were about forty pastors that knew about this, including Bishop Antonio Moise who still lives there. Bishop Moise as been to the States many times.

The next day, I flew out over the top of Hurricane David, and looked at it as it went into Havana, Cuba. I beat the hurricane to Miami by a couple of hours. A couple days later Hurricane David came in, but God wonderfully protected me. But, I received some

19

heartbreaking news a few weeks later, from their local pastors that the hurricanes blew the little church down on Mount Maroseau. I returned to Mount Maroseau for a revival and to rebuild the church. Now there are two or three churches up there, and a school that is named Bishop Bill Rogers. Oh, how great is the mighty power of our God when you are on his program!

The following is an article that appeared in the Fulton, Missouri, Kingdom Dailv News,on Sunday, August 19, 1979. Jane Plait, the Kingdom Daily's staff writer, wrote it.

. . .Haiti, that country is a land of voodoo, mountains, and twisted tropical growth.

Native Christian pastors live in huts with earthen floors and cook off of open fires. It is an inhospitable land, a land where voodoo drums pulse through the night as witchdoctors cast spells. It is a place that is alive with demons, says Bishop Bill Rogers of Fulton. He leaves for the backcountry of Haiti tomorrow morning, and his job is to cast out demons in the name of Jesus Christ.

Bill Rogers and his wife Becky are a preaching team. She is a former Church of God International Youth Leader. "The message we preach is simple and straightforward. We preach the born again experience." They preach speaking in tongues as the initial evidence of the baptism of the Holy Ghost. "When you receive this experience, you receive the power of God," Rogers says. 'We preach divine healing by prayer, the laying on of hands, the casting out of evil spirits. We preach the Second Coming of Jesus. We are against divorce and remarriage. We preach the duty of Christians to run for public office as the Bible teaches. The Lord called me to serve in 1951. I heard the voice of the Lord saying, 'I have looked over the nations and I have chosen you to do this work.' " Rogers, a former minor league baseball umpire, became a born again Christian May 22, 1949.

 To Top of Page

"In October, 1987 while visiting the nation of Fijum, the president of the nation sought me out at the motel by the Dead Sea. He pinned a medal on me engraved with the words Shalom that means 'Messenger of Peace.' His honor guard wore shabby clothes and carried shotguns, but I am proud of that medal.

"I came home once with such a case of dysentery, and it took me six months to get well," he says. "But, the Lord healed me and since that time, I haven't had any real sickness." He jogs three and a half miles every morning, and does a lot of fasting before he goes on any missionary trips. He says there are certain demons that cannot be cast out unless you fast and pray.

He tells of his experience on his last visit to Haiti of a maniac young man who had to be physically restrained by village elders that had laid hold and held him for 'twenty-four hours. Rogers had fasted and prayed once a week. "When they brought this man to me, I could feel the power of God and a special anointing came down on me. The young man had been running around without any clothes. I laid my hands on him, and the Lord gave me power to cast out those naked spirits. The man was healed. Now he is now a minister of the Gospel."

Rogers says that more than five hundred people came forward in one service in Haiti to ask the Lord to deliver them from the power of voodoo and witchcraft. The process of healing others is physically draining, he says. Laughing and crying at the same time, he shakes his head recalling the transformation he goes through when the Spirit is upon him. His wife says he comes home tired. She accompanied him only once on one of his shorter trips to a number of countries. .

I would like to testify here that God has delivered me in four wars, one military coup, one typhoon, one hurricane, and a number of tornadoes and earthquakes. I was in World War II in heavy combat, as I have already said. Then I went to Vietnam on a missionary trip in that war

21

and God mercifully spared me. I have been to El Salvador when that war was going on three different times. I have been to Guatemala when battles were going on out in the jungles twice.

Nigeria

I landed in the first military coup in Nigeria in the early 1980's. I had to sleep on the airport floor one night. Only myself and one other white man, from Germany, was here. Many of the soldiers were drunk and were swinging their machine guns around.

Two days later I hitchhiked seven hundred miles in a dust storm. The dust was so heavy they could not get a local plane off the ground to go to Calabar. I had slept, as I told you, in the International Airport on the floor the night before, and now, at 6:00 p.m., the domestic airport finally announced that no planes were leaving. I was looking around for a place to sleep, and I spoke to a young black man whom I knew worked there. I asked, "Can I sleep in here?" He said, "Well, it's not against the law, but it is too dangerous." I told him that I had I slept in the International Airport last night, and I was trusting God." He said, "Okay."

I was looking for a place to put my luggage, where I could lie down beside it on one of their couches. Here came this black man back, with two white men and a woman. "Will you go with us?" I answered, "Yes, if you have a bed." They turned out to be two businessmen from England, and they took me to a nice place to spend the night. When we arrived there, they started to open their beer. "Well, Preacher, you can shut your eyes or go upstairs." I said, "Give me a coke and I will go upstairs."

In a couple of hours they called me down to dinner and everybody started to eat. I said, "Hold it a minute, I want to grace the table," and I did. The next morning when I got up, nobody moved to breakfast until I graced the table. They carried me seven hundred miles, and they would not even let me buy a cup of coffee. Then, they sent the driver with me to find my little

22

mission out in the jungle. You know, Peter had a similar experience when he was visited where he lived.

Illness Strikes

By God's help and grace, 1 went from May of 1943 to October of 1946 without going to a medical doctor or taking medicine. 1 sometimes go to doctors now. In 1987 1 passed out and was unconscious for five days when 1 contracted malaria in Tanzania. Nine doctors gave up on me, but God instantly miraculously healed me. 1 returned to the States to be put into the V.A. Hospital in Columbia, Missouri.

Reverend Luther Smith (he and his church are some of my main supporters) came to the hospital to see me on a Saturday afternoon. He had come to the hospital two or three times previously to see me. When he was praying in the Spirit, he gave a message and said, "I am touching thee now, and 1 will raise thee up in a new anointing, anew and afresh." My legs and feet were unbelievably swollen. The next morning my legs were back to normal size. They had gone down overnight.

Nine doctors who had come every morning were standing outside my room in a huddle.  I said, "Come on in, it's safe." When they came in, 1 held up myoid skinny feet. They said, "We will get you out of here now." 1 answered, "Yes, we had a Pentecostal prayer meeting here at 4:30 yesterday afternoon." 1 said, "Well, we are glad it's working." God used me to lead a chiropractic doctor to the Lord while 1 was in the hospital. Many of the doctors and nurses at the V A hospital in Columbia, Missouri, look forward to reading my missionary reports, and requested to be on my mailing list.

God used me to lead two medical doctors to the Lord. They broke down, and tears ran down their cheeks as 1 testified to them the morning that 1 left. The head nurse came and put her

23

arm around me, and said, " I don't know what you have got, but you've got something no other man that has ever been in this hospital has. There is something special about you." I can go there now for a checkup, and doctors and nurses who have been there for years will holler, "How are you, Bishop? Where are you going next, Bishop?"

I have spoken in 327 colleges and universities throughout the world. Some post-graduate classes where I've spoken are the University of Missouri - Kansas, Antioch, Ohio, two in El Salvador, two in Russia, and the University of Nairobi in Kenya. Among the high schools that I have preached in are those in Africa, Nigeria, Liberia, and in Ghana. I have seen as high as 649 in a single service in Nairobi, Liberia, come to God. I have it on tape. Praise God!

Nigeria - "My God Can!"

I have seen lepers cleansed. My first trip to Nigeria in January of 1980, took me 180 miles out into the jungle in a place called Athena, where there is a leper colony. I went by taxi that morning and when I got there, oh, how the power of God worked! Many lepers were cleansed.

At Athena there was a young leper who was demon possessed, and he had been beating up on the doctors, nurses, and other patients. A nurse from the Church of England came to me and asked "Bishop Rogers do you think you can help this man?" I answered, "My God can!" I began to preach to him through the interpreter and he began to weep. I laid my hands on him and cast the devils out. Later, the nurse came to tell me at the parsonage as I was drinking tea, that the young man was going around the compound making restitution and apologizing.

In one ward that morning, every leper jumped up off the bed. When I left, many of them were standing on the floor and dancing, or shouting as they lay in bed. Only God knows how many were healed, but I know many were healed. I felt something that morning I never felt

24

before nor since. A love and compassion engulfed me that I wished I could have every day of my life.

Called Back To Haiti

I've been to Haiti eight times. I have preached from one end of Haiti to the other. I have spent much time in the mountains of Haiti sleeping in mud huts. Bishop Antonio Moise and many pastors in Haiti will verify this next testimony. In August of 1979 I was the first white man to ever go on Mount Moriah in Haiti. Even though there was no road, I walked the six and a half miles up the mountain. The nation was under a severe drought, and a group of the pastors approached me to pray for rain. When I got about halfway down the mountain, I stopped and prayed for rain. By the time we got down the mountain, the whole nation was under a downpour. It was raining so hard we could hardly see our way. God broke the drought. This happened twice in Haiti.

Luke St. Felix, the main interpreter in Haiti, and a man who speaks a number of languages, will verify this testimony, as will Bishop Mose, Pastor Andry, Pastor Lavelle, and many other pastors. During my first trip to Haiti in 1975, there was a severe drought and they came to the hotel about 5:00 to ask me to pray. I prayed for rain about 5:30, and by 6:00 there came a thundercloud. It rained several inches in two or three hours, and every light in Haiti was out for awhile.

They could not come to the hotel to pick me up until 8:00 that night. When we arrived at the tent they counted 305 people. They had sat through this storm, and every one of them came to the altar that night to pray for healing or for salvation. It was about 11 :00 p.m. when the service was over. A man who had come four hundred miles walked up to me and said, "I got

25

what I came after." He walked off into the dark with his Bible tucked under his arm, and I never saw him again.

Nigeria - The Second Crusade

My second trip to Nigeria was made in November of 1980. During this time I was in Liberia, Nigeria, and England. I visited some of them as many as four times. There was a military coup. The year prior is when I prayed in Haiti, and God turned back Hurricane David. Many pastors are living in Haiti today, including Bishop Antimode who will verify that.

This is also the trip where I was stranded in Laos, Nigeria, and had to go to a Holiday Inn hotel that night. The room cost $56, the electricity was off, and all I got was one glass of hot water. I wasn't given a meal or anything.

The next morning, I took a small plane to Caligar where I was met by two pastors. We went directly to a little mud church and had prayer. Then, sick people began to come to be prayed for. Some days I prayed for the sick from daylight until far into the night - many blind, many crippled, many with all kinds of diseases. I stayed with the local pastors, Bill Bassey and Illdo. I had the only bed in the home. The rest slept on the dirt floor.

I lived on fried bananas and scrambled eggs for sixteen days. The native pastors and those in the community were living on wild grain seasoned with dried fish heads. Everyone ate with their fingers except me; I had a fork and a spoon. The two chief meats, for those lucky enough to get them, were dogs and red foxes. There were many lizards, scorpions, rats, and mosquitoes everywhere. The average family has from ten to fifteen children. Most of the children are naked up to ten or twelve years old, and most children's navels were ruptured. Very few women have any medical aid at birth.

26

Since meat was so scarce, I asked why they did not kill some of the large lizards for meat. The answer was they could only bother them when the native doctor called for them. The native doctor would kill the lizard, bore a hole in its stomach and it would squeeze all the fluid out of the lizard, mix this with cooking oil, and this would be used for cough syrup.

I prayed for many young people, and I told them that I knew they had not had a good night's sleep in months. Many of them said they heard voices and saw lights at night. The Spirit of God was revealing to me that they had spells cast upon them by witchdoctors. Voodoo is very strong there.

Twice I saw naked men, that they called madmen, lying in the street. I told the interpreter, "Sooner or later they will get run over." His answer was, "By law, the city counsel will give them a free funeral." He also stated that the law allows three days to come and get them after they died. Think of this in ninety-degree temperatures!

On January 23 rd of that year, I went 180 miles by taxi into West Africa to Etinan, the leper colony. Of all the twenty-six nations I had been to at this time, this leper colony was a stirring experience. I saw a young woman with leprosy lying on a very low hospital bed, nursing a small child who was standing beside her. This was a very heartbreaking sight. I prayed for every leprosy patient, and God healed some. Every doctor and nurse in the colony came to me to have me pray for them. They took me to pray in every building, including over all the medical equipment.

I saw lepers jump off the bed and start praising God after prayer. The head nurse, who was from Wales, made this statement to me, "Bishop Rogers, these were all dead people when you came in here this morning. God has used you to resurrect this colony. God has truly sent you, for the government and the world has forsaken and forgotten us for eleven years." They made me promise to return whenever possible, which I plan to do.

27

I visited the I.D.S. Hospital in Calibar. It was so overfilled that you could hardly walk. Many of the patients were lying on thick rags on the floor. It is nothing to see four to six blind men lying around in public in West Africa. The army had been in control for about twelve years, until November 1979. One day I visited the slaughterhouse in Calibar. Many buzzards were sitting on top of the slaughterhouse, and at least one hundred buzzards flew around the building while they were preparing the meat inside. This was a frightening sight to see, for you knew the meat for the people in a city fifteen miles square was being prepared there.

Dominican Republic

Let me tell of the visit to the Dominican Republic. On December 31, 1980, I had been up twenty-two hours in the work of the Lord, and then walked five miles to get a bus. The service lasted until 2:00 a.m. After the service, the car had a flat tire and I had to walk four more miles to get to the local pastor's home where I was staying.

On January 3rd in a French church, the Holy Ghost came upon me, and I preached a full sermon by the power and spirit of God in French. The people understood me perfectly. On January 6th the same thing happened in a Spanish speaking church. You can read about the gift of tongues in the 12th Chapter of First Corinthians. This caused many people to come to the altar and give their hearts to God, for they knew that I could only speak English unless the Spirit of God came upon me.

The churches were packed everywhere I went, and many people were accepting Christ. Many were healed of sickness by prayer. On January 6th I walked sixteen miles to get to church, and preached to a full house that night. In parts of San Domingo there were piles of garbage.  Many naked children were playing in the dirty streets, although some of the city was very nice.

28

One night, a large crowd of young people walked with me over three miles in the rain to church. No one seemed to mind, and we had a wonderful service.

On December 31, 1981 I arrived in San Domingo. I was in a French- speaking church one Sunday morning, and it was packed. The Holy Ghost came upon me, and I preached a full sermon in French. Those in the congregation said I spoke perfect French, and that I was warning the wicked. The interpreter did not show up, and I just prayed and read my text.

At various times, I have preached to the Ghana army, Ghana air force, Belize army and the Philippine army. I was the first American to preach to the El Salvador army during the Communist war in September of 1982. I preached in the communist guerrilla underground prison in El Salvador. I have been privileged to preach in all the large prisons in Siberia. In one Siberian prison, twenty-eight prisoners, who were condemned to death, came to the Lord.

Danger Strikes in Nigeria

In 1981, in Nigeria, in a small canoe in a flood, I crossed the Nigerian River, which is over a mile wide. Pastor Bassey, my interpreter, had to scoop the water out of the canoe before we left. A man charged us forty cents to take us through the flood. The flood was so violent that it washed us downstream. It looked like the canoe was going to get away and wash us on down the river. When we were a few feet from the riverbank, I made a long leap. I didn't quite get to the bank, and I went down in red mud and sand up over my knees. Some men standing on the bank pulled me out. I praise God for it!

I rode on a scooter behind a man into Calabar and gave him two dollars to carry me about twenty miles. I had to stand out in the street in those muddy clothes until Pastor Bassey could get a ride to Calabar to pick me up. He took me to a home where I changed my clothes.

29

Belize

I have been to Central America seventeen times, and I have preached allover Belize. In 1984, I had given the pastor fifty dollars to buy food. I got up the next morning, but there was no food. He had given the money to his son to pay his school tuition. We walked three miles into Cayo, and went into a store. They had small Snicker candy bars for one dollar each, but I refused to pay that high price. Later in the morning I became hungry and discouraged, and decided I would buy a candy bar. God spoke these words in a loud voice, "Verily I say unto you. You shall give an account in the Day of Judgment of how you spend My money." I walked back to the pastor's home without the candy bar. Finally at 3 :00 in the afternoon I was fed some half-cooked rice.

Missionaries, Pastors, I warn you be careful with God's money. I do not go to hotels; I stay with native pastors. Rats and cockroaches have gotten into my bed and woke me up many times.

El Salvador

On my first trip to El Salvador, in September of 1982, a doctor took me to the cancer hospital at exactly midnight one night to pray for five of his patients. When I returned there three months later, he met me to testify that all five were out of the hospital and in good health. All the praise and glory be unto God!

During that first trip to El Salvador, God used me to lead the wife of the vice president to the Lord. She knew she was devil possessed, and He used me to cast two devils out of her. She was slain in the Spirit. After she went home that Sunday night from church, the vice president sent for me and invited me to the White House in El Salvador. I have this on Film.

30

I've been to El Salvador three times, and have often preached to the El Salvador army, the Security Police Force, the Full Gospel Businessmen, and in many churches there. In January of 1983, President Magnum sent for me, and asked me to preach on the national government-controlled television to the entire nation. That night I preached in the Baptist Church and when they stopped counting, there were over 3,000 people there. The street and the adjoining building were filled with people. After the service I autographed Bibles for the many people there.

On Saturday, January 30, 1982, I had just returned from a twenty-two day missionary trip to Belize, Central America, and the Dominican Republic. In Belize, I was able, by the Lord's help, to reach the entire nation, from the beggar on the street to the Prime Minister himself, the Honorable George C. Price.

Here is an article that appeared in four of the many El Salvador daily newspapers that first Sunday in September, 1982.

North American Preacher Brings Message of Peace to the Country

Bill Rogers is a Christian who likes to labor in God's work with non-denominational laymen. He was born in North Carolina, U.S.A., and fought in World War II in the U.S. Navy. He was a baseball umpire in the minor leagues. In 1949, he was converted to Christianity and years later, baptized with the Holy Ghost. At the present time he has been preaching the Gospel of the Kingdom of God for fifty years, and has visited sixty-eight countries in missionary capacity. Over three hundred schools have heard his preaching and teaching.

Bill is a man of prayer who does not hesitate to pray for the sick, for he himself is living testimony of God's healing power through the Holy Ghost. He was healed from a disease

31

of the spine the doctors had declared incurable. He now jogs three to four miles daily to keep in shape. He is ready to go to wherever the good news of Jesus Christ is needed.

His missionary visits average about three weeks in length. His itinerary will take him to Nigeria, West Africa, in November and to Belize in January. He is in El Salvador for a series of services. Next Saturday, he will be in the Full Gospel Businessmen Fellowship Breakfast at the President's Hotel. You are welcome. These are his answers to our reporters' questions:

What is the significance of your presence among us?

In these days of tribulation, men are especially receptive to the presentation of eternal peace through the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I have come to EI Salvador bringing a message of peace, remembering what is written in the Book of Books. Isaiah 6: 12 says, "For the nation or Kingdom that will not serve You, the nation shall utterly be wasted." Showing us that all nations that want to live in peace must run their eyes to God. That is why I am here, to present the nations a peace from the Lord Jesus Christ to the leaders and the destiny of this nation.

We understand you have visited other countries with this urgent message. What has been the evident result?

On February 1, 1980, at 4:00 a.m., God showed me El Salvador. He told me, "This is El Salvador. You must go there." From that time I have been anxiously hoping for this moment. I am certain that peace is on its way to this wonderful, beautiful country. I don't believe in setting dates, but to announce the coming of peace as Jeremiah said in Chapter 28:9, "Then the word of the prophet of peace shall come to pass, then shall it be revealed that God has given it to him." There has always been spiritual revival, for this is what proceeds proclaiming the Kingdom of God in the people.

What recommendations do you have for the problems of El Salvador?

32

"Jesus, that is all, from the most wealthy to the most humble. The Word of God says, "Seek ye first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness and all these things shall be added unto you."

What comments do you have on this Full Gospel Businessmen Fellowship?

I think that the Fellowship has taken Christ's message to areas not reached, and to regional churches, and this is very good in accordance with God's will. The Fellowship is doing something that 1 preached for many years. As Matthew said in Chapter 24, "This Gospel shall be preached in all the world for a testimony to all nations, because the Lord shall perform his judgments over all the earth with justice and with speed. And again He said before they asked. 1 will answer and while they are yet speaking, 1 will hear them."

I have received notice that in the National Guard, laymen from the Fellowship have been presenting to the officials a real, personal resurrected Christ that saves, heals, delivers, and protects.

In general, what would you recommend to the people of EI Salvador?

Primarily, that every EI Salvadorian be born of the Spirit as it is written. "If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and 1 will forgive their sin and heal their land."

As a member and Bishop of the Church of God, I am anxiously waiting to see the fulfillment of the Lord's desire when He said, "I pray for those that believe in me so that they may become one like 1 and the father are one. So that all may be one in us, for God had not sent me to erect walls but to destroy them, for the Kingdom of God is united and not disunited."

This is also signed by R. J. Rodriguez, who was president of all the Full Gospel Businessmen of EI Salvador at the time, and who now lives in San Leandro, California, and is in contact with me regularly.

33

On my third trip to EI Salvador in 1985, the only English-speaking paper in EI Salvador carried a picture and my interpretations on prophecy. God has used me to lead many army officers in El Salvador to Him, including General Casanova and General Baldwin. I also led them to the baptism of the Holy Ghost, and they wept and cried like babies, and spoke in tongues at length.

In my first service with the EI Salvador army, 278 combat soldiers with loaded rifles came to the Lord. In the second service, sixty-five were filled with the Holy Ghost and spoke in tongues. I have been to the combat zone in EI Salvador twice. I have it on Film. I have been in many refugee camps in El Salvador.

I shall never forget in late September 1982, we were at the second refugee camp that morning, and I was preaching at a little mission for about twenty people. A Baptist preacher was doing the interpreting. He told me later that as the words came out of my mouth in English, God was writing them on the wall in Spanish, and he was just reading it to the people. Suddenly the Holy Ghost came upon me, and I began to preach in Spanish. Everyone ran to the altar, and even little children, five and six years old, received the Holy Ghost, spoke in tongues, and shook and quaked under the power of God. Everybody but the interpreter and I were slain in the Spirit.

At the end of the altar service, one woman asked for permission to stand up and testify. She said she had a vision. She saw a little man with a Bible coming through Central America, and through the world preaching peace. She saw a big brown bear that stood up and stretched his paws out over the world. The bear began to snort and snoot at this little man, but this man just kept preaching peace. Then the bear began to drop. Finally, it got so small it lost its power and turned and fled into the jungle. I will tell you, Saints, this vision is in harmony with the second Chapter of Daniel. Verse thirty-one through forty-four tells us about that stone which is the Kingdom, becoming a great mountain, and knocking the image, the beast, and the antichrist's powers down. Glory be to God!

Here's an article from the Courier Times, Roxboro, North Carolina, July 11, 1985. The last time I was there was when I was running for vice president in 1964, and that was the only time I have been there in over forty years. The headline read," County Native Travels to El Salvador as a Missionary."...A county native who is now a Bishop in the Church of God recently visited El Salvador as a missionary. Bishop Bill Rogers of Fulton, Missouri, son of the late Richard and Annie Rogers, went to El Salvador in May, and met with a General in the El Salvador army at one of his sessions. Rogers attended Helena High School and Bethel Hill High, according to his Aunt, Miss Willie Hicks, who resides in Person County, North Carolina. He served in the navy in World War II, and moved to Fulton, Missouri, shortly after he returned from the service.

Rogers and his wife currently pastor the Church of God congregation in Fulton, and he makes several missionary trips a year under the sponsorship of the Church of God.

Miss Hicks said most of his missionary trips are made to third world countries. On his trip to El Salvador, the El Salvador News Gazette, an independent privately owned newspaper, interviewed Rogers. The paper, printed in both English and Spanish, quoted

Rogers as saying that he expects the world to enter into a period of peace after centuries of turmoil. While in El Salvador, Rogers went to meetings of the Full Gospel Businessmen, one of which was attended by four hundred persons, including General

Adolph Baldwin of El Salvador. He has also preached at the National Security Police Headquarters to an independent church group, and in a drug and alcohol rehabilitation center. He also spoke at a large orphanage near Guatemala, and at a military hospital. He wrote these words, "These poor people have been driven from their homes due to the war. Therefore, from six to fifteen are living in one room in a dirty shack. They told me the El Salvador

35

government gave them dry com and milk every fifteen days. That was all the food they got. I visited in many of their one-room homes, and prayed for many sick children and crippled adults. I gave a few dollars to each family as long as I had it to give. I was told that there is some leprosy in this refugee camp."

Rogers wrote that before he left the country, he brought beans, rice, and sugar to be delivered there to each family in the refugee camp. Rogers says he has preached in forty-six nations up to this time and worked with and preached to various military branches and all churches. He has been to EI Salvador three times, and traveled to Belize in June. Rogers still has relatives in Person County, North Carolina.

This article appeared July II, 1985, in the Courier Times, Roxboro, North Carolina.

July 10, 1988 - 3. 10A.M.

I know God has spoken plainly to me many times. Let me tell you how real the Holy Ghost has been in my life and ministry. During my second trip to EI Salvador, I was preaching to 150 college professors, army officers, and government officials, and their wives. There was a Jew there by the name of Julian, who was a professor of algebra in the American school. Nobody knew what the Holy Ghost had spoken in Belize the night before in the Church of God in Christ, or the text I had preached there. I was going to use that same text in EI Salvador that night.

The Holy Ghost gave a message, and Brother Julian interpreted, "I have placed the trumpet in this man's hand to blow into the nations, and he will blow it very loud to this nation tonight. Even as he preaches from this text tonight, let us look into prophecy. Please consider what he says for these interpretations of prophecy are from me." Now you know that had to be the Holy Ghost, because 1 had already chosen the scripture in the later part of the first Chapter of Second Peter, about no prophesy is subject to private interpretation. Glory be to God!

Paraguay, South America

In May of 1985, I was in Paraguay, South America, and they brought a demon-possessed seventeen-year-old girl to the outdoor meeting. It took seven men to hold her while I cast the devils out. As the devils came out screaming, they jumped on a herd of about one hundred cattle that were standing about a hundred yards away. Those cattle ran through the woods like they were tearing everything to pieces, and as long as that revival continued, we never saw those cattle again.

As I said earlier, by the providence of God I was able to reach all walks of life right up to the Prime Minister himself. He always received me, and took a new Bible. He would question me as I quoted different verses to him, and then he would turn to the scripture and read it several times. I told him the only way he could keep Communism down was to let us missionaries work freely in his nation, and get the people to turn to Christ. He said he knew I was right. He held a special welcoming service for me, and I have this on film.

Belize

I went on to Belize where I had a good meeting with the secretary of the cabinet, Mr. Rudy Costella. He invited me to speak to the Belize Full Gospel Businessmen Fellowship. While there, I spoke to a local school, and the principal turned the school over to me. He gave me permission to speak as long as I wanted to. My text was "Christ must be first in our lives."

Many schoolteachers of different churches attended my church services regularly, and all the teachers thanked me for coming. One Bible school sent their students several nights. I met with the district judge and mayor of Cairo, and preached in the police station. I have all this on film, and will show it to any church or group that would like to see it. Praise God!

Guatemala

I have been far into the jungles of Guatemala twice. The Communists were trying to overthrow the Guatemalan government in 1984 and 1985. I was there two years in a row. One night, I was floating in a boat between the guerilla Communist and the National Forces. I was going back into the jungles to preach, and each time I went I came in direct contact with a deadly coral snake. Each time, God protected me. One night, I was far back in the jungles preaching. A snake was moving in and out of the lumber within feet of the pulpit, but I went ahead with the sermon. Finally an Indian came, and he cut the snake in two.

I worked with Richard Hood, who grew up here in Fulton, each time I was in Guatemala. He and his church will vouch for me being delivered from the coral snake. I saw things taking place in a great and mighty way, and how God would perform the miraculous. Glory be to His name! I want to tell you, we need not fear if we are on God's program.

Richard wrote:

To whom It May Be Of Interest:

Greetings from Richard Hood in the Peten jungles of northern.

Guatemala. Central America. May the peace of God that passeth all understanding be with you! As I picked up Brother Bill Rogers at the Flores, Paten Airport the afternoon of the 23rd of August, we had a special treat, besides the one of seeing each other and greeting one another in the love of the Lord. We were to meet a very important (3-star) general of the Guatemalan army right there in the airport!

He had come to meet his wife who had been on the plane with Brother Rogers. He was very kind to us and offered any help that he could give us as the top commander of the area. As we had to stay in a hotel that night, we had a chance

38

to witness to a Catholic man who had heard us praying in the room. He said, "I felt the power of God coming from your room as you prayed."

August 24th- We heard from my village of Sayaxche, and that night we had the first night of preaching with Brother Rogers. On the 25th and 26th we also had good meetings there, and God moved through the Church with a very sweet spirit of love. The pastor told me that after we had gone to other areas, several had come back to the Lord! Praise His Name!

August 27th - We make our way down river to the village of "La Flor de

Esperanza," which means the Flower of Hope. The army has a small base here now. After much terrorism and killings, (some were friends of mine), they now keep order. We had to ask permission to hold meetings, and they gave their consent, as the army is the law in the jungle. The church was packed and the service went well, but with not much response. 1 (first time ever) forgot to pack bedding or covers of any kind, so we both had to sleep right on the beaches without a pillow, cover, or sheet of any kind. Just us and the boards, a bit hard, but we arose with a song in our heart anyway! God is so good!

Augu;st 28- we head for "Los Loreles" where we had good service that night, a bath in a small jungle stream (boy what cold water!), and finally rested up before service. Another packed house, and the Word of God is preached again.

The Indian people do not show emotions, so it is difficult to tell some times how they receive. We must walk by faith and not by sight!

August 29 - We head for Pipelas, the major army base in the region. We had to check in with the military two times, and again receive permission to have services. Another packed church, and the Word of God was given to not only the people, but to at least nine army men. We never know how many are listening

39

outside. After church, we head up river by moonlight (about 10:30 p.m.), and reach the main mission and stay there. We had to stay in the hospital, as it was the only place with beds for us. So, Brother Rogers had to stay in a hospital for three days, not as a patient, but as a guest.

August 30 - We spent the day at the main mission, and went to "Buena Fe" village, meaning Good Faith, and had another packed house. The Spirit of the Lord was felt strongly, but nobody moved. Back to the mission by moonlight and to rest up.

August 31 - To village Mario Mendez, and we preached to a full house again. This time there was more participation, and many came forward for different reasons. Just before the service we killed a "deadly poisonous" coral snake inside the church just three feet from the pulpit. God is good to keep us in safety.

September 1- We head for Sayaxche and hold the first anniversary service for the church Nueva Vida or New Life Church of Sayaxche. The Spirit of the Lord was felt by many, and we had, I felt, the best service of all. Many expressed their desire for Brother Rogers to return the following year for the second anrnversary.

I want to say in closing that we are thankful to have had Brother Rogers with us. Many call themselves "Men of God," but Brother Rogers lives his life as a man of God, and one can see that plainly. We have not, and probably will not see the famous and well-known preachers here. Only the ones who follow God are not afraid. Yes, there is danger. Yes, the bad guys are here. Yes, this has been named a "war zone," and yes, it takes a real man to come here and preach the Word of God, especially one with no desire for personal gain.

Brother Rogers never asked for offerings. He goes to the other extreme, and actually gives money to the pastors and leaders. We are very happy to see men like Brother Rogers come here, and we pray that many more will do just that in the future. (Signed, Former Resident of Fulton, Missouri, Richard Hood, New Covenant Ministries-Field Address: Sayaxche Peten, Guatemala, C.A. -U.S.

Address: 9606 Kerrwood, Houston, TX 77080.)

During my second trip to Guatemala, I was out in a jungle church one night. One of the deacons had killed a deer, and the women were barbecuing it out in the yard. I had walked in and out of the little palm roof church several times. Suddenly, I heard, "There is a coral snake!" I must have stepped over him at least five times. One of the Indians with boots on came and stomped the snake to death. I know what it is to see the miraculous delivering power of God!

I also preached on the Guatemala army bases, and for two nights in a row I slept out in the jungles on church benches. One night there was a real big battle between the government forces and the communists, but I slept through it with my Bible under my head. All the other people traveling with me were awakened, and they were very frightened. They told me about it the next day.

The next morning we walked about a mile and a half down a jungle trail to find a place to take a bath and shave. The water was so cold and clear I could see to shave by looking down into the water. We took our bath there in the jungle stream.

That night we were invited to a deacon's home. I asked the blessing, and I felt something nudging my shoulder. I looked up and a mule had come into the kitchen. Next came two pigs, and they walked around under the table while we were eating. I looked up, and the chickens were going to roost over the kitchen stove.

41

The next day on an affiliate base I was watching a little boy fishing. Soon the little boy quit fishing and came up to the affi1Y base. I asked him what he would take for his string of fish. The interpreter said he wanted forty cents. I gave him eighty-seven cents and told him to take the fish home to his mother to prepare them for my supper.

That night we were invited to another deacon's home, and I looked on the table. There was nothing there but fish and some rice. That same little boy came through the kitchen door, and it turned out he was the deacon's son.

Dominican Republic

One night in the Dominican Republic, the service had lasted until 2:00 in the morning during a watch night service. On the way home, the taxi had a flat tire and I had to walk the last four miles. We had walked three miles to the church that night for service; much of it was across a cane field. I arrived home at 6:00 a.m., and by 7:00 a.m. I got up and went on my daily jog.

I shall never forget a brother by the name of Victoria. He was ninety-eight years old at the time. God had used him mightily for many years. He was interpreting for me in San Domingo in a Spanish church, when suddenly the Holy Ghost came upon me. The congregation said I began to preach in Spanish, and I walked around pointing out homosexuals, lesbians, so do mites, and not one denied it. When we gave the altar call, the altar was full, the isle was full, the door was full, and there were many seeking God out on the street. I would say that is the gift of tongues in its very fullness in operation.

Tanzania

I have been out into the desert of Tanzania twice. The first time I traveled one thousand miles out, and on the second I went into the desert 1,250 miles. It was a socialist country, and

42

there were no churches. There were many children and adults who had never seen a white man before. In every village I went to, the government officials broke the law by letting me preach in the schools.

People came by the hundreds from allover Tanzania. I was there eighteen days without a drink of water, just drinking bottles of hot Double Cola. I ate fried peanuts for breakfast, and boiled sweet potatoes for lunch.

But God does the miraculous! While there, I contacted malaria and was not aware of it until I returned home. I had to ride a bus for two days and two nights just to get out of the desert! I rested, took a bath, shaved, and went to the airport the next morning. There stood the secretary of transportation. He said, "Bishop Rogers, you don't have to go into the lounge area. You come and go with me to the VIP lounge." In the VIP lounge I was introduced to a bishop of the Church of England, the financial director of Tanzania, the head of their banking system, the head of foreign affairs, and I was served cookies and coffee. After the plane was loaded, Tanzania officials escorted me to the plane door. We never know what God has planned for us!

Missionary Report for Ghana, October 8-24, 1985

I can truly say by the leading of the Holy Ghost and the call of God, I was able to preach the Gospel of the Kingdom of God to all Ghana, all the way to the Ivory Coast Road. Two large government high schools of 2,500 each invited me to preach to them. Many came to the Lord. The head teachers of each school asked me to send written sermons and taped messages regularly for them to play to the students.

This trip I worked with several church leaders and one Bible school, preaching in the Bible school for three days and nights. The services in most cases ran from 160 to 1,500 per service. It was not uncommon to count four hundred and five hundred people per service. I laid

43

hands on several hundred for healing, and many were healed instantly. Most days, we had two or three services each day, and one at night. When we were not in a service, we were traveling from one city to another for other services. At both of the high school services many local pastors and ministers came to hear me.

In seven different churches the Holy Ghost gave messages confirming what I had preached about the saints coming to ruling power before Jesus comes. The Holy Ghost also spoke about me going to Russia and all nations twice, and how the nations would soon lay down their arms and live in peace for a period of time before Jesus comes again. Also, He made it very plain that the end would not come as long as there was any war, but there would be a period of peace at the time before He comes again. At least twenty ministers and church leaders invited me to come to Ghana for a convention in 1986 to preach the Kingdom of God.

On October 25, 1985, at the night service, twelve interpreters and I had been preaching for exactly one hour on the Kingdom of God. One of the interpreters was an Assembly of God pastor who had spent eight years in New Jersey. The Holy Ghost came upon me mightily, and I gave this prophecy in their native language. The Assembly of God pastor gave the interpretation. "At the word of my prophet, the yoke is now broken and lifted off of all Ghana."

I had been praying with a minister here in Fulton before I went on that trip, and this message had been given. "The minute your feet touches the ground in Ghana, I will break the yoke off of that nation." On a Sunday night a week later, the Holy Ghost spoke it, and they didn't know He had given the same message earlier. Scripture says, "That out of the mouth of two or three witnesses shall every word be established."

Rwanda, Central Africa

44

This is my missionary report of September, 1987 to Rwanda. When you get to Rwanda, any way you go you are heading back to America. This was a seventeen-day missionary trip to this socialist nation. On Saturday all the men work free for the government, and on Tuesday and Thursday the women work for the government for free. It matters not what your usual occupation is. If the government decides to have a lawyer sweep the street on Saturday, that is what he does.

There they only have to have six months of college education to teach school from grades one to eight. But, to teach high school, they must go to college for six years. The average pay per month for teachers is about $1.40 in American money. It is very expensive nation. A bottle of purified water sells for $6.20 in American money.

On Sunday, September 27, many came and said they were healed while I was praying for them. In September we returned to the Church of God Headquarters for an all-day fasting service where there were over five hundred present. I preached for one hour from the second Chapter of Joel. Some came to Christ, and several were filled with the Holy Ghost speaking with tongues.

After the altar call, the call was made for the pastors of several organizations present to pray for my trip to Russia in the near future. A message in tongues was given, and the senior lady preacher of the organization gave the interpretation under the power of the Holy Ghost.

Here are the exact words of the interpretation direct to me. "This, my servant, who is led by my Spirit, has been chosen to make this trip (speaking of Russia). When he goes, the God of the whole earth will be glorified. I charge each of you to pray for him and for this trip until it is made."

The next day, while in prayer with some pastors, this message was given and a Church of God of Prophesy pastor gave the interpretation. "This, my servant who is led by my Spirit, has

45

been chosen to be a light to all nations." The field secretary of the Church of God of Prophesy gave that interpretation.

On Friday of that week, the Holy Ghost came upon me ,and I preached in the Swahili language. "I call the nations to repent, to come to the Kingdom of peace, and that peace would soon come to all nations." This is the gift of tongues in operation.

The Philippines

I arrived at Dumaguet Airport and then proceeded to Bias City, Philippines. A mighty crusade was held in the city of Batugan. A man paralyzed for two years who could not walk or talk was healed instantly, and 245 people came to Christ. On January 28th, at a military camp, ten soldiers came to Christ. The next day in the afternoon jail ministry, twenty-eight inmates came to the Lord, most of them having been convicted of double murder. Many of them have now been executed.

January 29th - I held a night crusade in the city of Cenibol at the Bi City Full Gospel Church. Thirty-five people came to the Lord. On January 30, we spent the day in prayer. We spent five hours going to St. Catalina on January 31, and three hundred people came to the Lord; many healings took place.

February 1, brought me to the city of Cawitan where I was in a night crusade. It was held on a basketball court and over four hundred came to the Lord. One young lady who had lain in bed for years now walks perfectly. February 2, St. Catalina, four hundred came to Christ and many were healed. February 3, we stopped on the way back to Bi City in a Bible school to study and teach there.

February 4, we visited ajail again and three came to Christ. February 5, Sunday

morning and Sunday night, we were at the Bi City Full Gospel Church. February 6, in young ladies' college, 110 came to

46

Christ. February 7, we spent visiting and praying for the sick, and on February 8 and 9, we went to Tamagong, where eighty came to the Lord. February 11, back to the jail, and then that night at St. Rosario twenty-six came to Christ. There were many healings, and some received the Holy Ghost speaking in tongues.

Here is the report of my second trip written by Pastor Dan Sales, who is overseer of thirty-seven churches in the Philippines. A total of 1,832 came to the Lord that trip. This is his report:

"We visited two city jails and one providential jail in the Negros Isle in the

Philippines where 140 souls came forward and accepted the Lord as their personal

Savior. Preached in a total of five churches, two home Bible studies, where four got saved and many were blessed. Tent crusades were held for four nights, and 412 souls got saved. Two typhoons were supposedly to hit our place, but Bishop Bill Rogers prayed for it to go another direction. The typhoons stopped, and everything went well with us. God heard his prayer."

Pastor Sales continued.

After our camp crusade in one town, a fresh congregation in a new church was established. Bishop Bill Rogers helped us to pay the house rent for a year. The total souls that were saved were 552, and we are grateful indeed for the visit of Bishop Bill Rogers to our country. As the Lord uses his life in winning souls, we thank God for his life and zeal for God's work. He is such a real blessing to many, and to the nations of the world, and to have in our country. God bless him richly." Pastor Dan Sales, and the Church of the area.

Missionary Report on Tanzania

47

Bishop Clovenger of Maia, Tanzania wrote this report:

Tanzania is a nation of 21 ,000 million people. I traveled 22,000 miles round trip on this sixteen-day missionary trip. Each tribe has its own language and the government's language is Swahili and English.  Some of the tribes still buy their wives, at a price of forty cows. In one tribe, the women can marry without the father's consent, but the man still pays for the wife. In the Zanaki tribe, the wife can choose other women to have children by her husband. It is very hard to get a divorce. Only the more highly educated teach any birth control.

On June 26, 1986, I preached in a school. A good group of people came for prayer, and many were healed. On the night of June 26, I preached to a group of pastors on the "vision."

On June 27, I flew seven hundred miles on a government plane free of charge, and then I took a train sixty miles to Mayla.

June 28, I had prayer several times with a number of pastors. I stayed in a hotel three nights for the price of $ 1.90 per night. On Saturday morning, I met with three government leaders including Mr. Goniashabani, Chief Divisional Secretary (or the same as an U.S. senator).

I also met with Mr. Sullivanus (his surname is Mbeget) and James B. Myeti, One Ward (same as a state representative). We had prayer together.

June 28, at 10:00 a.m. in the church service, the Holy Ghost came upon me, and I spoke to the people in the Swahili language. This happened twice, and each time they understood me perfectly. They said I told them, " God was coming to them as fire." Many came to seek God, and several were healed. At 4:30 p.m. in the city park there were 350 people in the service.

Several Muslims and Catholics came for prayer. Some crippled were healed.

48

June 28, again there was another great service at 9:00 p.m. Catholics and some Muslims came for prayer. In all three services that day, many came for salvation, and many were healed in body.

Sunday morning, June 29, we had a large crowd of over two hundred people. I preached for one hour on the vision. Many came for prayer. God used me to cast devils out of a young woman. She fell as one dead, and then lay a good while. So many people who were sick came for prayer in that service that it was impossible to count them. One seventy-year-old Catholic man was healed of severe arthritis instantly. He got down and did push ups and all kinds of exercises in front of the entire congregation. The woman that I cast the devils out of had a spirit in her that made her hate all men. But her heart was changed when the devils came out. In this service the Holy Ghost came upon me again, and I preached to them in the Swahili language telling them that God would now burn up all chaff among them. I know no other language but English, so this was the gift of tongues in operation.

June 29, 4:30 p.m., saw six hundred people at the service. Many people came for salvation and many were healed. Praise the Lord! June 30, was a good service. I traveled seven hundred miles to hold other services.

July 4, we had a good service in a school. Some came for prayer.

July 5 saw two services. Six pastors were present, and some came for prayer. That same night we had a good service, and then we ate dinner with a number of important socialist government leaders. Three nights out of sixteen I did not go to bed, but I felt no tiredness. The pastors who worked with me invited me to return again.

Zambia

49

I remember in May 1988, how God moved mightily in Zambia. We held a crusade in a stadium, and the attendance ran from 2,500 to over 4,600 nightly. Hundreds came to the altar. About fifty received the Holy Ghost, and I believed thirty-three testified to being born again.  Devils were cast out of many, and about four hundred were baptized in water.

A woman, believed to be the oldest in Zambia, had been blind for fifteen years and was healed instantly during the crusade. The first thing she said was, " I see a good looking young white man," and she then described the color and design of my tie. The next healing was a nine-year-old boy who had never heard or talked. God healed him instantly. Then God instantly healed a woman about forty years old who had not walked in many years. Literally hundreds were set free of demon possession.

God has moved, and on my missionary trips throughout the world not only high schools but also colleges have been opened to me. I have met with prime ministers, congressmen, senators, parole officers, chiefs of police, and FBI and CIA agents throughout the world. I have films of prime ministers holding welcoming ceremonies for me. How God blesses us when we are faithful to His call!

When I got ready to leave Zambia, I was escorted to the plane, and I was the first person to board. The same thing happened on my second trip to the Ivory Coast. I was given VIP treatment both in and out of the country.

Liberia

I have been to Liberia four times, and my last trip was just before the war started. I was in the president's chief spokesman's office. He brought his entire staff in, and I preached to them for twenty minutes warning them of the flood to come if they did not straighten up.

50

One night I was preaching in the Church of God of Prophecy in Liberia, and was about forty minutes into my message. Suddenly, the Holy Ghost came upon me and I began to preach in the Bassett Tribe language. The congregation said the first thing I uttered under the power of the Holy Ghost was "I am the Lord, I change not, and only the clean will I ask into my Kingdom. Set your house in order. It is time for the Church to set its house in order."

The next day I spoke in the Presbyterian school, and eighteen were saved. The Liberian News Agent was present, and the newspaper carried a full account that night. The television and four radio stations also were there.

During a service in Liberia, I was praying and it was pouring down rain. I stopped in the middle of my sermon, commanded the rain to stop, and God stopped it instantly. That really got the attention of the people, and the altar was filled. I have seen this happen throughout the world.

February 13,1986 – The Ivory Coast

I will write a little about the nation before I go into the missionary report. In the countryside many of the women still dress topless, wearing nothing from the waist up. The rats, flies, and mosquitoes were the worst there of any of the forty-seven nations I have visited so far. Everywhere I went there were scorpions and lizards.

The average salary for city workers such as garbage collectors and meter readers is eighteen dollars a month. The salary of a schoolteacher is the equivalent of sixty to ninety dollars per month. Their schools runs six days per week, and the students attend until 5:30 p.m.

The penalty for stealing or robbing with a gun is life in the dungeon, and when you die you are not given a burial. Your body is left to rot in the dungeon, and your bones stay there for the next prisoner to see. The bones are never removed.

51

The Lobie Tribe still locks the mouth of all married women, and the husband is the only one who carries the key. At the wedding, a small hole is bored in the top and bottom lip and a small padlock is inserted that holds the lips together. The lock is only removed when the husband wants to talk with the wife, or for her to eat.

Now, the military guards this tribe, and no one is allowed to take their pictures. Until the present president of the Ivory Coast came to power, people were allowed to take pictures of the tribe. These are the kind of people a missionary deals with, and preaches to, in the Ivory Coast.

I went out into the jungle country to a city called Divo, and there I established a new church. I had to obtain permission from the government to do this. In many cities there was such filth. The living conditions were terrible, and many children roamed about naked. Twice I conducted seminars for ministers, and each time seven different organizations sent ministers, with over twenty pastors present each time. In many of the services there would be three different languages present, and I would have to have two interpreters, but God blessed!

In most of the services I preached there were from 350 to 600 present. Many times, as many as two hundred to three hundred came for prayer, and many of these had a fever. In one service more than two hundred came seeking the Holy Ghost, and sixty-five were converted. At another service six hundred attended, including the mayor and the tribal chief. With tears on their faces, both approached the altar seeking God. Oh, what a great revival broke out in this town!

I traveled to the city of Abidjan. It is very modem and fairly clean, with good streets and highways. There are some very wealthy people in the city of Abidjan, and it is much like a large American city. However, when you leave the city and go into the country, it is a different story.

The night before I left, I preached in the largest medical college in the nation, and one of the largest in Africa, to young people from many nations. It was a great service, and the Lord

touched many. The government was persecuting the Pentecostal church to some extent, and Pentecostal pastors have even been put into prison in the past.  All the church pastors were afraid for many parents at this time. Many children were dying of malaria fever, as were some adults. The first four days and nights the services were held in a Baptist church. Many came to the Lord and were born again; thirty-six were filled with the Holy Ghost and spoke in tongues. Then on Sunday morning, September 20th, I preached at the National Baptist headquarters with 450 were present. There were people from six nations, among them thirty-five pastors, and several American missionaries. In this service, eighty came to Christ, and were born again.

Then in the afternoon, I was asked to preach at the National Headquarters of the Pentecostal Church of God in America. There were over eight hundred in the service, twenty-nine were born again, and seven were filled with the Holy Ghost, speaking in tongues. One leading member of parliament was at the altar seeking God. Eight spoke in tongues for a long time. The next week the evening service was at the Baptist church, and many came to the Lord. Hundreds came for prayer for the healing of their bodies.

Now, Beloved, let me tell you about my second trip to the Ivory Coast. The nation's number one movie star came to the Lord, as did her husband. She announced she would never make another movie or sing any songs except Christian. Her name is Katy Loba, and she was at the altar seeking God many times.

I preached in a park one night where 165 came to seek for the Holy Ghost. Sixty-two or sixty-three people received the baptism, and they spoke in tongues as the spirit gave utterance.

Many government officials came nightly, and many of them came to the altar. There were hundreds in the open-air services. God allowed me to lead one of the airport officials to the Lord during that trip, and he asked me to baptize him in water. I was appointed VIP privilege when I left the nation. The

53

airport official escorted me to the plane and stood at attention, saluting until I got up the gangplank. I returned the salute, and waved from the plane.

That event fulfilled Romans 14: 17 and 18, which says, "For the Kingdom of God is not meat and drink, but righteousness, joy, and peace in the Holy Ghost, and he that is in these three things is truly serving Christ, and has been accepted of God and will be approved of men." I humble myself in these nations. That is why God has moved enabling me to meet with the heads of states, and that the VIP privilege is being extended to me. The Prime Minister of Belize and heads of other nations have given me a standing invitation to go and come as I please. God has given me favor with all churches. I preach in many Baptist, Methodist, Assembly of God, Church of God of Prophesy, Lutheran, and Presbyterian churches throughout the world. It is amazing how a school or principal has never turned me down on foreign soil. God is my witness, and to Him all the glory and praise.

Ghana

I have preached to the Ghana army and air force. In my second service with the Ghana army I was asked to administer communion to all the army officers and their wives who claimed to know Christ. The Ghana news agency, radio, television, and the entire news media of Ghana covered that service.

I remember one morning service in Ghana out in the country that lasted five hours. After the singing hour, I preached for an hour, and the altar call lasted three hours. Of those in attendance, 317 received the baptism of the Holy Ghost and spoke in tongues. This was verified by the seventeen pastors and some deacons working with me who spoke to each person individually confirming their baptism.

54

One pastor was really in the Spirit, and by the leading of the Holy Ghost he carved out of a piece of wood what they call a kicking stool for me. He left an opening in each end, and marked the different African nations. He said, "Now, Bishop Rogers, when you go around the horn you will be coming back to us." That came to pass, as I have made seventeen trips into Africa. It is amazing what God is doing in the world.

Kenya

On my first missionary trip to Kenya I landed in Nairobi. Kenya is a nation of 1,200 tribes, but the majority of the population belongs to two major tribes. I went to the second largest tribe, and to some of the smaller tribes. Nairobi itself is a pretty nice city, but take a bus and go west thirty minutes and you will find children playing naked in the garbage. When I was there in February of 1987, families were still breaking their land with oxen. One man walked with a whip, hitting the oxen quite often, but it did not seem to have any effect. The oxen did not move any faster.

I rode a bus all night and half of the next day to get to the Kenya/Uganda border on Mount Gotiagul. After my arrival, I stayed in a mud hut with a grass roof. It was so rocky they could not use a plow, but used a hoe or fork to work their crops. I believe in all of the fifty-one nations I'd been in up to this time, Kenya had the most goats. They seem to be the chief source of meat, other than fish. Mount Gotiagul is 775 kilometers from Nairobi.

Many pastors received the Holy Ghost. Some rode bicycles two hundred miles one way to be prayed for. Between twenty-five and thirty-five pastors took part in the services from a number of different Pentecostal organizations and churches. Several pastors came from 200 to 344 miles one way. I conducted teaching services each afternoon for the pastors and preached at

55

the regular church services at night. I also spoke in two schools with great results. One school brought the entire school to an afternoon service. The mountain was covered with young people.

The Purp Tribe does not wear much clothing, other than an animal skin tied around their waist. They dig water out of the sand with their hands. Life is very rough for this tribe who live 344 miles out into the country.

I spent a few days in the Slay district, 775 kilometers out into the country near the town of Bonga. Here the assistant chief of the second largest tribe of 7,000,000 went with me to speak in their schools. One of the government staff ministers was given four days off to travel with me to many places to hold services. He held a very high job in the Presidential Office.

On Mount Gotiagul, the breakfast food was dried field corn boiled in water, and then parched a little. This was the only breakfast food on this mountain that is in sight of the Uganda border. There were no lights or running water on this mountain. All lived in mud huts with grass roofs, but God gave them a revival. It was a very fruitful trip, with many coming to Christ.

Many people were healed; many people filled with the Holy Ghost, speaking in tongues as the Spirit gave utterance. A number of pastors said they had not lived as they should, but God straightened out their lives while I was there.

On Sunday morning only forty-one people came to the altar, including one man with severe stomach trouble. He had not eaten for thirty days, and he couldn't keep food on his stomach. God healed him instantly, and we saw him back at every service. He would eat this parched, dry, field corn boiled in water every morning.

A young lady, who came one evening about dark, had not eaten in seven days, she had such a bad stomach. God healed her, and baptized her with the Holy Ghost. She spoke in tongues at length, and then went home and ate onions and sweet potatoes for her night meal. She came back to every service. Oh, how God did move in the nation of Kenya!

56

Here is a report of my second missionary trip to Kenya in late January and early February of 1990. I conducted seminars twice daily for pastors. They came from allover the nation. I also had pastors from Nigeria and Tanzania who were there. I preached at night in a tent for a church, and the Spirit of God touched many. I also prayed for sick regularly. Some were healed of very high fevers.

On Saturday, January 20, 1990, while speaking to a packed house, at 3:30 p.m. the Holy Ghost came upon me and I began to preach in the Lou Tribe language. They said the first thing I said was, "The Holy Ghost filled-men will soon rule all nations, and this will be done before Jesus comes."

On Sunday morning, January 21, at about 1 :20 a.m., the Holy Ghost came upon me and I began to preach in the Lou Tribe language again. The first thing I said was, "There will be no more blessing until all of you repent." The entire house full of people, including many pastors, came to the altar, many weeping and asking God to forgive them.

Later that morning in another church, the Holy Ghost came upon me, and I again told them all Kenya needed to repent and come into the Kingdom of God. A few minutes later, the Holy Ghost came upon me, and I began to preach again in the Lou Tribe language. This time they said I told them, "The Lord will cut off all blessings until all of you repent."

On January 23, I was in the office of one of the top government officials. I warned him that all political officials worldwide who were not right would soon be uncovered. Before I got out of the building, I was told he was accused of taking bribes. This applies to all political officials in the world. All must repent at once or be removed from office. The National Signpost Magazine of Nairobi, Kenya, carried a full report, and the National Council of Churches promised to carry a full report of my trip to Kenya. At that time, some of the older men in Kenya had twenty to thirty wives, but many of the young men only had one.

57

One year later, on February 21, 1991, I was back in Kenya again for my third and final trip. This time the Holy Ghost came upon me, and I began to tell them how that everything that was covered in the political system would soon be uncovered. Theocracy would replace all governments.

I took a train ride for twelve hours to a place called Miwani, near the Uganda border. Here twenty-five churches came together for the meeting. There were three services each day, and the churches were packed most of the time. The altars were full during the services with people seeking God. Many said they were healed of sickness right while I was preaching, and devils were cast out of many that were possessed with evil spirits. In one service, many testified of getting healed while I was preaching on the Kingdom of God.

One morning while I was preaching, the Holy Ghost came upon me, and I began to preach in the Lou tribe language. The first thing they said I spoke was, "This nation, even this whole nation, has become very sinful. I am calling all the nation to repent and turn from sin."

Later that morning, they said I spoke these words in Swahili, the national language: "The political system of this nation has become very corrupt, but I, God, will soon uncover it all." Again, I beg all to consider this, for I know no language but English.

Before I left, I was invited on January 20, to speak at the University of Nairobi, which has over 10,000 students. At this service the chancellor and many of the teachers were present, as well as pastors from allover the nation. The large auditorium was filled to overflowing with people standing in a circle, and many were outside listening. My text, "What Will the Next Century Bring?" was from the book of Hosea, Chapter 6: 1-3. The Bible calls this "the third day." We will see the nations healed in Haggai 2:7. Wars will stop forever in Isaiah 2: 1-4, Psalm 46:9, and Micah, Chapter Four. All say it will be done in the last days, not after Jesus comes. Oh what a trip that was!

58

The gift of tongues had been upon me mightily during all three trips to Kenya, speaking great prophecies, and also uncovering sin in the government and among the people themselves. To God be all the glory.

 Haiti

Two nights later in Haiti, out on Mount Gholie, in sight of Lake Victoria and the Uganda border, I was preaching to the Lou tribe. There were forty-four pastors and schoolteachers in attendance, and four languages were represented. Only the interpreter and I could understand English.

I had barely read my text when the Holy Ghost came upon me, and they said I began to preach in French. This is what the pastor said I spoke, "There is no blessing on the nation of Haiti because the people are not truly serving God, but the people will come back to God." I then read my text.

In three or four minutes, the Holy Ghost came upon me again, and I began to preach in Spanish saying, "Repent and be washed in the blood of Jesus, and enter into My Kingdom. Do not follow those who say Jesus is coming soon, but repent and be washed in the Blood of Jesus."

Again, in about four or five minutes, the Holy Ghost came upon me, and I began to preach in the Koreallanguage, and made the same statement two or three times. Later the Holy Ghost came upon me, and I quoted Luke 4: 18 in Spanish, Koreal, and French under the power of God. Now Beloved, I beg you as John the Revelator begged the seven churches of Asia Minor and the angels, which were the pastors, "If any man have an ear, let him hear what the Spirit is saying unto the churches."

The day before I left Haiti, I was invited to Pastor O'Connor's home, a man who is highly educated and knows several languages. He asked me to ask the blessing on the table.

59

When I began to ask the blessing, the Holy Ghost came upon me, and he said I began to pray in Spanish. He said I was praying, "Lord touch the wicked hearts of the officials of this nation, and break up their hearts." I was making intercession for the government of Haiti.

God wants the nations to come under his alrfhority. When I was on my last missionary trip to White Russia in late October and early November, my wife said I received a call from the White House. Governor James Martin of North Carolina called me a couple of years ago to congratulate me on my work. I had been sending him tapes.

In February 1989, on a trip that I made to Belize, a nation I have been to eleven or twelve times, I visited with Prime Minister Manual Esquiel and several other government officials. For about fifteen minutes I had prayed and talked to the prime minister. Tears were running down his cheeks when I stopped.

 Russia

I have preached in every continent but Australia, and I look forward to going there. I was in Russia in late August and early September of 1991. Hundreds and hundreds came to Christ, and hundreds were healed. My first service was preached in the medical college in Moscow, and seventy-nine or eighty doctors and nurses came to the altar. They wept and cried and surrendered to Christ. All of these people were over fifty years old, and most of them were in bitter tears crying out for God's mercy. Some of them prayed until they received the Holy Ghost, and spoke in other tongues. Some prayed until they were slain in the Spirit. I was amazed that every doctor and nurse came for me to pray for the healing of their bodies.

One nurse, who had the Holy Ghost for many years and had endured much persecution, said she had a vision when I started preaching. She told the interpreter she saw Christ in a gold chair come down and sit on the top of my head, and it remained there during the entire sermon.

60

She was a devout Christian, and accepted by all the Christians in Moscow. When I announced I would pray for the sick, I was amazed that every doctor and nurse got into the prayer line.

The next night I spoke for the National Pentecostal Headquarters for all of the USSR. My text was, "Dark Days Are Past, Now Come Light," (Isaiah 25:7 and Zechariah 14). Then I was taken 240 miles out into the country to Oracle, Ypwcad, one of their oldest cities. It was a city of nine thousand people, many of whom were possessed with witchcraft and voodoo. This was the first sermon that had been preached in this city for over seventy-five years. They had an old theater building that held six hundred, and it was filled with people. Over three hundred came forward to receive salvation.

After I preached and gave the altar invitation, they announced that I would pray for the sick. Over four hundred people lined up, many of whom had high fevers. The first woman had a stiff neck. I prayed for her, God healed her, and she took off her brace. The second person was a dumb man who was healed instantly. The interpreter took him to a microphone and he began to speak. That stirred the entire congregation, and they all rushed to me wanting prayer at the same time. Many women actually lunged, pitching their children at me, hoping they would be touched. It took until 1 :00 p.m. to pray for all the sick. In the healing service the interpreter said I prayed for many in the Russian "language. He said I would give the instruction in Russian. The interpreter said it happened so much that some people thought I knew Russian, but God is my witness, I do not.

On the way back to church the next morning, the interpreter slipped into the seat beside me and said, "Bishop, our pastor requests that you don't pray for the sick today, because we must have you on the train by 1:00. If you start to pray for the sick, the service will last all day."

I had one thousand Bibles printed in Russian, and I carried them with me to give out. I handed many of them out in Red Square in Moscow. One night, three of us walked down the street of Erobt, where the peddlers were selling their goods. There were many poker games

61

along the way, and I would stop at each game and give each man a Bible. There were many witches on this street. The Soviet government licenses them, and they can do what they want, any time or anywhere they chose.

I was invited to another college where two hundred were packed into a classroom. The agreement was that it would last one hour, but the students got so interested and excited that they granted me two hours. Russia is very hungry for the Gospel of the Kingdom of God.

As I was returning from Russia, I was stranded in Frankfort, Germany, and had an eight-hour layover. I was walking around in the airport with two suitcases, and I didn't realize anybody was noticing me. When I boarded the plane, and we were about halfway back to America high above the Atlantic, the captain announced we could all stand up and stretch before lunch was served.

A Catholic nun, sitting two seats in front of me, turned around and spoke to me. "I was watching you in the airport in Frankfort for several hours." You are none other than the Ambassador of Peace to the Nations." I want to be judged by Jeremiah 28: 9, "When the word of the prophet of peace shall come to pass, the people will truly know that the Lord had sent this prophet of peace." For a Catholic nun that has never seen you before, except just walking around in the airport, to see that kind of anointing is amazing, and it gives great confirmation and great encouragement.

There is a pastor in La Plata, Missouri, by the name of John Bowen, who is highly educated and a seminary graduate. He pastored a large Baptist church in Oxford, North Carolina, with three hundred members. He has now become a charismatic preacher. He speaks French, Latin, Spanish, and Hebrew. Many times I have prayed with him, and he would stop and say, "Brother Rogers, you just spoke such and such in French, or in Hebrew, or in Spanish in your prayer. I studied it in college."

62

I have been in service with him when the Holy Ghost would come upon me and I would speak a message. He would say to the congregation, "He just spoke such and such word in French, in Spanish, or in Hebrew, or in Latin." Oh, Beloved, that is the gift of tongues in operation. I know no language but English. God is my witness. I only went through the eleventh grade, and never went to school over seven months a year in my life. We were so poor, that my father kept me out one day a week to work on the farm. I have never had a college professor or a student in a college ask me a question that the Holy Ghost did not come upon me, and I would, by the Spirit of God, be able to give the answer.

When the first George Bush was elected President of the United States, he sent me a personal invitation to his inauguration. I have it hanging in the church here in Fulton, Missouri. I had already scheduled a missionary trip to Central America and could not go. I sent him a tape entitled The Cleansing of the Political System, and his secretary wrote me that he played the tape there in the White House. I have a copy of the letter his secretary sent.

I also sent this tape to Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher, and she cabled me acknowledging it. I have that cable in my files also. Senator Bill Bradley, Senator John Glenn, and several other senators have written me, saying they would be listening to the tape. Justices O'Connor and Clarence Thomas received a copy, and they both wrote me and thanked me for it. I have also sent this tape to Japan, and soon afterwards Japan had three Prime Ministers in four months. You can see that God has been working for some time to bring about the restitution of all things here on earth.

I had a man come up to me in a restaurant in Holts Summit, Missouri, who had been reading my articles in local newspapers for years, but who had never met me. He said, "Bishop, I will vote for you for any office you run for."

I have a good friend here in town who is a doctor of Chiropractic. One morning I was in his office, and it was full of people. He told them a little about me, and then he just stopped

63

taking patients and asked me to talk to them a little. A fellow there had been the constitutional interpreter for the State of Missouri for sixteen years between the State and the Federal government. I got anointed, and at the end of my talk, he looked at me and said, "Bishop Rogers, you have got the most correct understanding of the United States Constitution of any man I have ever heard speak." Then I said, "If I ever run for President, will you vote for me?"

Every one of them spoke up and said, "We will."

 Belize

On Monday, February 17, 1992, the Columbia (Missouri) Tribune printed a report on my trips to Belize, Central America. Reverend Rodney Bailes, P.O. Box 42, Laduna Road, Belize, is the man who invited me to come to Belize. Eight churches and five other missionaries came together to work with me.

The following churches sponsored me: Nazarene, Assembly of God, Faith Reform, Pentecostal, Charismatic, Congregation of Holiness, Baptist, and Church of God. The pastors and missionaries met with me at 5:30 each morning for over an hour's prayer each day. Voodoo in Belize is very strong, as is witchcraft.

The mayor of the City of Pragarder let us use their 150 x 80 foot community hall to hold this crusade. This city was near the ocean, and you could look across the sea into Guatemala. Nightly I preached directly across the street from the voodoo church. The power of God was strong in the service, but they stayed away and gave us no trouble.

Several nights the attendance was so good that some had to stand. Except for two services, there were more than one hundred people at the altar seeking God. The least number that came to the altar at anyone service was twenty-five. Many were healed. Some who had

64

been living together came to be married at once. While I was ministering in Belize, I had plans to leave for Russia shortly after I returned home.

 Russia

My second missionary trip to Russia was in April 1992. I went seven miles by car from Moscow out to a town named U1ianovoe. The pastor said that no one had ever preached in this town. Remember that I am the first man to ever preach in this town, according to them, and 128 came to Christ, and many were healed. That night after holding services in a home, I was praying for a ninety-seven-year-old woman. A German man who was present said I prayed for her in German.

In late August and September of 1992, I made my third trip to the Soviet Union. This was a twenty-three-day missionary trip to Siberia in Russia. A total of 4 14 came to Christ in Siberia, and forty-four received the Holy Ghost, speaking in tongues. In one prison, twenty-five came to Christ, all of whom had been convicted of murder. Two of the pastors and I went to a village of two thousand where no American or missionary had ever been. We gave out tracts for four hours. That night seventy-three came to service, and all gave their hearts to the Lord. The pastor went back the next week to baptize them in water, and to organize a local church.

The rural and small villages in Siberia are almost as bad as some places in Africa and the West Indies, although they do have plumbing in Siberia. Almost all the fruit and vegetables are damaged by the time they get to market. Most American people would not dare eat them.

Such revival broke out by the time I got back to Novokychetsk; the television, Channel 9, and a radio station came to interview me for an hour and twenty minutes. One newspaper with a circulation of 365,000, and another of 10,000, sent photographers and reporters with me to the

65

hospital to tape my sermon and watch me pray for the sick. That night 120 people came to Christ in the service, and forty-four were filled with the Holy Ghost, speaking in tongues.

On Sunday, August 2nd, we had a water baptism. There was a thunder and a hard rain the entire time, but the people wanted to be baptized. A total of 250 were baptized in water in Siberia alone. When I returned to Moscow on Sunday afternoon, August 16, I preached to about five hundred people in an open park service, with 109 accepting Christ. The pastor and personal workers got their addresses, and made arrangements for a baptism the next Sunday.

At the end of the service, the Holy Ghost came upon me and I spoke to many of the people in their languages, as there were people from several nations present. While praying for a crippled woman, the Holy Ghost came upon me and I spoke in Russian, telling her how God loved her, and to always remember love, mercy, and judgment. I beg all to consider this, for I know no language but English. It is a gift of God upon me.

I met a retired man on the street. His salary was equivalent to seventy-two cents in American money. Many nights I only got three hours of sleep, and many nights out of the twenty-three I did not go to bed. That is all part of a missionary's life. On the radio and on television, I called out for the political leaders to turn to Christ, or God would soon be bringing them into judgment. Oh, what a great move, and how God did bless!

 November 4, 1992

In the last thirteen months, I have made five missionary trips, and one trip here in the states to North Carolina. I just returned from my fifty-ninth missionary trip in the past thirty-one years. This is a trip to Russia, a nation where the average factory worker gets six dollars per month in U.S. dollars, a college school teacher made twenty dollars per month, but a cut to ten dollars has been made now. There you can buy a soft drink for about one or two cents. A good breakfast in a hotel is only eighteen cents.

66

Most of the people who have gardens only raise two or three vegetables, such as cucumbers, tomatoes, and some cabbage. Potatoes are grown in the Ukraine. Gas costs forty-five cents per gallon, and up to fifteen or more people are living in a one-room apartment. The driver of the church car who was assigned to me lives with fourteen in a small apartment, eight of them children. All the soldiers and policemen were of very sad countenance, and looked very depressed. I only saw two cats and five dogs in the entire nation, and I went about 240 miles out into the country. Even most of the Christians looked very depressed; however, it was cold and snowy. Since then, I have seen many dogs, and too many cats living in their apartments, leaving a bad odor.

During this trip 303 came to Christ and several hundred were healed. I preached in one school, three hospitals, and in several churches. White Russia is a nation of ten million with 120 political parties, and I met with high government officials. They were thinking of having an election soon to elect their first president. Mr. Anatoly Fyoderov was to be the candidate for the

National Front party, the most popular party. He came with his wife to my room, and they gave their hearts to God. They both had a real experience with God.

I also met for one hour with Mr. Konbrhobny, the district manager (we would call him a congressman or senator). He begged me to visit him every time I am in the former USSR. He said he had been born again a short time ago. There was such a revival, and we had a water baptism service at 8:00 in the morning of Sunday, November 1. It was five below zero, and the service lasted over seven hours that day. They said some had visions while I preached. There were many healings in this service.

On Monday afternoon, November 2, I was asked to speak at a special service, held at the very place were Stalin had shot twenty thousand people sometime ago. This service lasted over two hours, and was covered by the television, radio, and several newspapers. My text was, "The

67

Dark Days Have Passed, Now Comes the Light" (Zechariah 14:6,7). The field was packed with people from all walks of life, for this service was to honor the dead. Over one hundred came to Christ. An Orthodox Bishop was present, and a Catholic Bishop from Poland. They both read prayers, but I was asked to do the preaching. A Catholic Bishop had prayed for the dead, so the first thing I did when I went to the roster was to say, "I will now pray for all the living."

On November 3, in Mogilve, a city of half a million people, I was interviewed on a radio station for half an hour concerning prophecy in the future. I also preached in a cancer hospital where a total of 172 sick came to Christ. Many of the nurses and one lady doctor came to Christ in this service. One hospital had over one thousand sick people from the explosion that took place in Chernobyl, which is only 165 miles away. I also visited and spoke to the children at their hospital. Many of them were very sick, with their eyes sinking back into their heads, knots, and lumps on their necks and under their jaws. The doctors told me they felt it would take one hundred years to recover from that terrible explosion, and that in due time, everyone in the area would be banned from it. Many of the children are born deformed from that great tragedy.

It is almost impossible to believe what God is doing in the former USSR, unless you get among the people and see for yourself. All are crying out for help, and are ready to receive it. This is only a part of what I could write, but God is doing great things in all of the Republics. While there, I was able to give money to one hospital, money to build a Sunday school room to one church, and to many needy people. On November 5, the money exchange rate went to four hundred to one. If you have a few hundred dollars, that exchange rate will make you rich in a few minutes.

On this trip, for three nights I did not go to bed. I was so busy reaching places that I had to go by train, plane, and car, and had people coming to me at all hours. I was asked to meet with all the teachers of a college, but did not have the time. Also, the local television station

68

invited me back on November 5 for a few minutes. I could not go, as I had to travel back to Moscow. I met with Mr. Valdimir Chernyshev, Head of the Nuclear Center for all of Russia. We talked for three hours. By the way, he was in Albuquerque, New Mexico, at a world nuclear conference, and was in the states for a month. He requested I mail him all the literature that I write, and to send him tapes on prophecy. He said he realized only Christ could heal things in the former Soviet Union. He was really open to the Gospel, and to prophesy.

At this time I had plans to be in the Republic of the Ukraine in February of 1993, and had a total of seventeen invitations to the former U.S. S.R. and Africa. I planned at least four trips in 1993.

"Thou Shall Stand Before Kings "- A Prophecy

God spoke to me in the General Assembly of the Church of God in 1973. Eight Bishops and one Deacon were locked in the parsonage. We had been praying for two hours, and at the end of that the Holy Ghost came down, and there was a message given. Kelly Tolbert of Sikeston, Missouri, came and held up my hands. Two messages were given through him and Bishop James F. Ray of Pauls Valley, Oklahoma, who was the oldest bishop in the church. Both gave the same interpretation, which was, "Thou shall stand before kings."

About a year later, Brother Buriel Pitcock and I were praying in the Samson Street Church of God one Saturday morning in Glasgow, Kentucky. The Holy Ghost came down and said, "I have laid the foundation of the Kingdom on thee, and thou shall stand before the great men of this world and they shall understand thee. Thou shall be used to lead many of them into My Kingdom." It has certainly come to pass, and I give God the praise and glory.

69

When I wrote President Bill Clinton, several newspapers printed it: the Mexico Ledger, the North Callaway Spirit, and the Columbia Tribune. The St. Louis Post Dispatch carried the first letter I sent while he was still in Arkansas. The following is from the North Callaway Spirit from January 28, 1993. The headline read, "Prays for President."

Dear Mr. President.

Number One: I have prayed for you, and will be praying for you. Proverbs 25:7 says, "Open rebuke is better than secret love." For any ruler or leader of a nation to make a success, he must follow the ways of God. You are going in some ways in the wrong direction. If I understand the news correctly, you are already backing up on some things you promised while running for the office. I quote directly from the authorized King James Bible, James 1:8, "A double-minded man is unstable in all his ways. Let not that man think he can receive anything from the Lord."

Number Two: You seem to be taking too much advice from your wife. God

rebuked Adam for that, and he lost out and fell (Genesis 3: 17). Please look it up. God has not changed. You promised some things that are one hundred percent against God and His law or plan, such as to put homosexuals in the military. God has always destroyed these people, and if you look it up in the Bible in the book of Jude, verse seven, and in Romans 1: 22-32, you will see that God has not changed on these people. You promised to appoint judges that would keep abortion, which is murder in the sight of God. No one can change Him.  Mr. President, I only wrote because the Holy Ghost moved upon me to do so. I want to ask you to consider the Word of God. All will be judged by it. There is no respecter of person with God. Paul told Timothy in II Timothy 2:7,- "Consider what I say," and if he would, God would give him understanding in all things. All I ask you to do is to consider the Word of God, Mr. President.

Called to the Ukraine

Today is February 4, 1993, and some friends were figuring up my travels yesterday. I have already broken a million miles by air, and at least a half a million by car, bus, train, and by sea. I feel that God will send me almost as far in the future, or at least a big portion of it. God spoke to me last week on Wednesday night and said, "Prepare to go to all nations." He also was going to totally overhaul my body. He spoke to me a couple of years ago about 2:30 in the morning with a loud voice, waking me up. He said, "I will renew thy youth, and 1 will renew thy strength."  I just praise God for what He is doing!

My sixty-sixth missionary trip was to the Ukraine in March of 1993. 1 preached in one college, two schools, and two hospitals. A total of 567 came to Christ, and many were filled with the Holy Ghost, speaking in tongues as the Spirit gave them power to. In fact, thirty-three received the Holy Ghost in one service as 1 was preaching on the day of light, from Zechariah 14: 6-7. The Holy Ghost fell on them in the middle of my sermon, and they began to receive it.

Right in the middle of my sermon, several hundred were healed instantly of all kinds of sicknesses, including a four-year-old dumb boy.

71

In a children's hospital, I was asked to pray for a twelve-year-old child who the doctors and nurses could not control. As the devils came out, the Holy Ghost came upon me. I looked at the staff and said to them in Russian, "It is gone out." This caused one doctor and fourteen nurses to come to Christ.

A large percentage of the children have cancer. I was only sixty miles from where the explosion took place in Chemobyl. There is only one hope for the people in this area, and that is Christ. I bought enough fruit to feed the entire children's hospital. Every doctor and nurse in that hospital asked me to pray for their physical healing.

One night I was asked to pray at the end of the service for a seven-year-old whose

grandmother could not control her. The child was at home, and as I started praying over an anointed cloth, the Holy Ghost came upon me. They said I began to say in Ukraine, "Be gone, evil spirit." The grandmother came the next night to say the child was normal. To God be all the praise and glory. She brought the child to every service as long as I was there, and she behaved perfectly.

During this trip, many old people walked three and four miles to catch a train, rode it twenty miles, and then walked another mile to get to the church services. Six college teachers came to Christ, and a number of high school teachers came to Christ in this particular service. I helped give out several thousand tracts, and hundreds of Bibles. In every place, we did not have enough Bibles for all that wanted one.

After service we gave out 240 Bibles, but we only had half-enough. During this entire trip, 452 came to Christ, and at least five to six hundred or more were h6aled. I also spoke in a pastor's meeting on Saturday before this service. Pastors were present from seventeen or eighteen nations, with a total of 189 pastors present. My text there was, "The Dark Days Are Past, This Is the Day of Light." The Holy Ghost came upon the entire convention when I said there would never be a third world war.

72

On Sunday, March 15th, in the service I was just referring to, the pastor said I prayed for many people in Russian. This was the Holy Ghost praying through me for their healing. All the credit must go to God, for I am only a man he is working through.

The next day I preached to about 450 at a wedding; my text was, "The Marriage Vow." This service was held in a large log church. The next day we had a packed house for a foot-washing service. After this service I was praying with some men, and the Holy Ghost came on me. A Finnish man said I spoke in the Finnish language, calling all Finnish people to come into the Kingdom of God. He said I even called out all the Finnish towns in the former USSR He knew Russian, Finnish, and English. He said I then asked him in Russian why he was not talking in English to me when he knew it.

Most nights and days I walked for three miles or further to church in the snow and wind. The food was a simple diet of potatoes, rice, and sweets. I did get boiled eggs for breakfast each day. Soup is the main food among the working people, and they had enough of that.

Back to Belize

In August of 1993, I returned to Belize. I preached in a nursing home, to three churches, on one army base, and in one jail. The second night I was there, a family brought a forty-two-year-old man a long distance to have the devils cast out of him. He had been violent all of his life, breaking up dishes and everything in the home. It would take four people to hold him, and then he would pass out for hours. God gave me the power to cast the devils out, and the man is now normal. To God be the praise!

I spent much of this trip preaching to the pastors and missionaries who live there. Many of the pastors were in a very low in spiritual condition. On Saturday morning I preached to a large group of young people. The service lasted until noon. In one service, twenty-six received

73

the Holy Ghost, and spoke in tongues as the spirit gave them the power. A total of forty-seven came to the Lord, and many were reclaimed and turned back to God.

Many days I preached three times a day. In the jail service two were saved. In the nursing home, everyone asked for prayer. There were a number healed instantly of various things. The last night I preached at the National Headquarters of the Church of God in Christ to most of the pastors and deacons, and it was a powerful service. The pastor, Bishop Allen Gentle of Post Office 40, Cayo, Belize, will verify this, as will many other pastors.

A Missionary Report to the Ukraine

I believe this is my seventy-first missionary trip. The Ukraine is a nation of fifty-two million. If you have A.I.D.S in the Ukraine they put you in a locked-in hospital, and you stay there until you die. Homosexuals, if caught, are tried in court as criminals. This certainly would be a good law everywhere. The exchange rate at that time was 44,000 notes to one U.S. dollar.

Many times, as I was praying for the sick or casting out devils, the interpreters said I would either pray in the Russian or the Ukraine language. The doctors and nurses do not have much medicine, and conditions are very bad there. The attendance in the regular church services and in the rented halls averaged from six hundred to one thousand. There are now two young men there preaching the Gospel as a result of my first trip to the Ukraine in March of 1993. I praise God for that!

Here is a report as the Fulton Sun of Fulton, Missouri, carried it.

May 3, 1994: Another Trip to the Ukraine.

74

A total of 773 came to Christ. Several hundred were healed in all the services. I preached on this trip in thirteen cities, four hospitals, six schools, one night school, one college, an alcohol prison, and one factory. Of those who came to Christ, there were four doctors, eighteen nurses, and nineteen schoolteachers.

At the present time, a funeral in the Ukraine costs from fifty to seventy dollars in American money; therefore most of the bodies are put in plastic bags. At every college and school that I went to on this trip, they asked me to put them on the mailing list and to send them literature regularly. A teacher said they would see that it was translated into the Ukraine language. On this trip, I gave out 1,100 Bibles, 500 Gospels, and 2,300 tracts. I preached an average of three times every day, except the day that I preached four times. My days consisted of being up from fifteen to seventeen hours.

 Busy on the Mission Field

On my seventy-sixth missionary trip, I returned to Belize, Central America. A Baptist pastor later told me he had received the Baptism of the Holy Ghost right in the middle of my sermon, as did several of his members throughout the revival. I spoke in a college, and fifty came forward to accept Christ in that service.

In May of 1995, I made a missionary trip to the Ukraine. In most services there would be at least fifty to one hundred people coming for prayer for healing. I saw God heal all kinds of sicknesses instantly. Many who came to Christ were middle aged, from forty to sixty years old.

Witnessing God's Great Power

75

How it rained when I was in Jamaica in 1978. One night the pastor and I were on our way to pray for a man who had been cut very badly with a machete while digging potatoes. A mountain mudslide gave way and rolled right down into the road, within twenty feet of where we were walking. I climbed a steep bank to safety. I believe in God's protection!

In the 1995 flood in Fulton, Missouri, the water was within a few inches of our church and parsonage. I stepped out into the water, lifted my hands, and prayed. The water divided, ran uphill in front of the church, and uphill behind the church for over three hours. Not one drop of water came into the house or the church. Reverend Bobby Washington, Assistant Pastor of the Church of God in Christ in Fulton, watched as I waded into the water. He will verify this. Many city employees came down and took a look at the waters, and just shook their heads. To my knowledge, and to all that I have talked to, this is the first time that water has ever run uphill. To God be all the glory!

Several other times I have prayed in floods. One time a Fulton Sun Gazette reporter was watching when God moved the water back about twenty feet instantly. I have been in nine floods throughout the world, eighteen or twenty earthquakes, one hurricane, two typhoons, four wars, and in a Nigerian military coup. I had to sleep on the airport floor that night, and used my Bible as my pillow.

I have seen four people raised from the dead: in North Carolina, Missouri, Nigeria, and on the Siberian Railroad Express Train between Moscow and the capital of Belarus in October of 1992.

God has blessed my wife and I greatly. We have three children, and two of them have been raised from the dead. There are living witnesses that will testify to it. I was pastoring our first church in Roseboro, North Carolina, near the Krump Brick Mill. There were forty-two people at the little country church that morning. A car ran over our oldest daughter, who was just over two years old at the time, severely injuring her chest. It was a good while before she

76

was found, and we knew what had happened. You can imagine how she looked when they pushed the car off her little body. The first time I prayed nothing happened. The child was dead.

Before praying a second time, I asked the men to take off their hats, those that were smoking to put out their cigarettes, and everyone to bow their heads. Everyone testified that they felt something like a fog and mist fall from Heaven as I prayed the second time. As I began to pray and promise God that I would go wherever he sent me, my daughter raised up and began to cry. Sharon Faircloth, a registered nurse, witnessed the event along with many other people who are still living today. Our daughter is now the mother of two children, and works in the Group Insurance Company in Columbia, Missouri.

We were living in Fulton, Missouri, on June 21,1969, when a second child of ours was raised from the dead. Our son was working on a car, and it was on jacks. Evidently he went to sleep and kicked the jack out of place. Both back wheels were off of the car, and the rim fell on his head and neck. He lay under the car for seven or eight minutes before help came.

Many in the Fulton area will testify that the boy was dead, including Lane Salmons, a neighbor, Reverend Pat Berry who lives on Elm Street, Reverend Larry Dickson, and the staff of the Callaway County Hospital. Callaway County Sheriff Deputies were called, but those on the scene are now deceased. I prayed, "God, if you will bring him back, I will go where you say go, and say what you say." Instantly, my son began to breathe and kick. Today he is a top car salesman in Jefferson City, Missouri, and the father of two children.

God used me again to raise a baby-from the dead in Nigeria on January 21, 1980. The daughter of an interpreter and pastor at Itacko, Bishop B.O. Bassey, died of measles in the hospital. The doctor released the body for burial. Bishop Bassey brought her body to the church, and everybody became so excited. There were no lights in the church because the kerosene lamp had gone out. God spoke to me and said, "Tell them faith cometh by hearing." I told the pastor to lay the child on the dirt floor of the church.

77

With no lights, I could not see the Bible, but I began to preach on "faith cometh by hearing" as God had told me to. After about five minutes the child began to sneeze. She was raised from the dead. I filmed her mother feeding her the next day. All the glory and praise be unto God!

Bishop Bassey accidentally took a feeding tray while his daughter was in the hospital, and it was considered stealing. As soon as he discovered what had happened, he ran it back to the hospital quickly. The doctor asked about the child, and the Bishop told him his daughter was alive and well. The doctor could not believe this. He told the Bishop to bring his daughter in so she could be examined, and he did. I can only imagine their amazement!

South India - July 4, 1997

The Holy Ghost came upon me, and I gave this prophecy in the Punjaki language. "The grace and mercy of God is falling exceedingly upon all the world to bring about My Kingdom on earth. The Spirit of God is coming upon you to make you the temple of God for His Kingdom."

July 6 - The Holy Ghost came upon me, and I spoke these words in the Tongucnagh language. "I will establish My Kingdom through the holy saints upon earth."

July 7 - The Holy Ghost came upon me, and in the Hindu language the Holy Ghost spoke these words through me. "I will bless this nation and destroy the forces of Satan. My glory shall shine in this nation very soon."

Then, on the night of July 7, the Holy Ghost came upon me again, and I spoke these words in the Hindi language: "Behold I come quickly to assemble all nations together under one government." The scripture and prophecy for this is Jeremiah 3: 17.

July 8 - The Holy Ghost came upon me again and I spoke this in the Hindi language. "I'm going to do something in your days. The nations will watch, and be amazed by My power."

78

Again, I beg all to consider these happenings, for I know no other language but English. In every case there would be languages other than English spoken. In every case there were pastors present from these particular tribes in addition to the four interpreters that I had. This was the real gift of tongues in operation.

Reports from Costa Rica

On December 4, 1998, Bishop Bill Rogers preached at San Sebastian prison in San Jose, Costa Rica, where seventy prisoners were saved. Twenty-seven came forward to be delivered of a lying spirit. A similar number came forward to be delivered of a stealing spirit. Two prisoners came to the altar to be delivered of a spirit of homosexuality. As those two walked forward, the remaining prisoners broke into spontaneous applause that lasted more than two minutes. All the prisoners agreed to encourage and protect these two individuals.

On December 7, in the same prison, sixty more prisoners were saved. At least two hundred inmates were on their knees praying for thirty minutes. Many of these individuals were in tears. Fifteen were baptized in the Holy Ghost.

On December 11, in the San Sebastian prison, four were saved. Twenty-three received the Baptism of the Holy Ghost. Over two hundred prisoners were again on their knees praying for more than thirty minutes. The majority were again in tears. Reported by James A. Howenstine MD 011-506-2377965.

Bishop Rogers spoke in five churches, three universities, and two prisons. A number of people were instantly healed, 217 people were saved, fifty-nine received the baptism of the Holy Ghost, and the Kingdom of God message was heard at all sites, as well as over a radio station.

79

At the female prison, fourteen were delivered of drug usage or homosexuality. In the male prison twenty-seven were delivered of a spirit of lying, seventeen were delivered of a stealing spirit, seven of a homosexual spirit, and approximately fifty came forward to be healed of physical problems. At least seventeen received the Baptism of the Holy Ghost in the men's prison.

Bishop Rogers received an open invitation to all churches, universities, and prisons to return at his convenience. This was his eighty-first missionary trip. James A. Howenstine 0 1 1-506-2377965.

On December 2, 1998, Bishop Bill Rogers attended a prayer meeting at Igleoia Valencia in Heredia, Costa Rica. At the conclusion of the meeting, following a short sermon by Bishop Rogers, Pastor Lena of Aurora Pentecostal Holiness Church gave this prophecy to Bishop Rogers. "He has been faithful, and has a message for churches in all nations. He will be going in and out of the nations." James A Howenstine MD 011-506-2377965.

“Lord, here am I, send me. "

I was seventy-seven years old on May 1,2000, but my daily prayer is, "Lord, here am I, send me." As of March, 2001, I had completed eighty-five missionary trips, been to sixty-eight nations, flown over one million air miles, flown out of St. Louis airport ninety-four times, and flown to Moscow on TW A.

In 1951, about the time God called me to preach, Becky told me, "God spoke to me in a dream. He said I have called Bill to do a work, and you just work with him." Now Becky is a minister. She takes care of the local church while I travel. She sings, preaches, and is a great missionary worker. She works twelve to fifteen hours a day making quilts, dolls, and all kinds of

80

crafts to raise missionary money to send me around the world. God has blessed me in every way.

My wife has certainly been a great help. I would never have been able to go around the world and travel over a million miles without a wife that has stood one hundred percent firm with me. Many a night she had to stay alone with the children while I was preaching somewhere, or campaigning on a foreign missionary trip.

God has blessed all three of our children, and they have good health and good jobs. Each has two children of their own. I will be seventy-eight years old on May 1, 2001, and I still can do anything I could do that Thanksgiving morning of 1942 when I hitchhiked to Raleigh, North Carolina, with a borrowed ten-dollar bill to join the Navy. All the praise and glory be unto Him!

I know God visited me April 3, 1991 and spoke plainly to me that morning. He said, "You get the word from My mouth, and warn the wicked from Me." Beloved, I am doing this, warning the political world, and the Church world, that they must set their house in order. It is time to choose this day whom you are going to serve, to make a final decision.

My lifestyle is to rise at 4:00 a.m. every morning, shave, read the Bible, and pray until 5:00 a.m. I then walk and jog from 5:00 a.m. to 6:00 a.m. Then, after breakfast, I read the Bible again, and the wife and I pray together. I tell you, Beloved, we need to seek God early. The pastor of the Church of God in Childersburg, Alabama, announced one night to our congregation, "I timed Brother Rogers today. He prayed for eight hours."

I will tell you, Saints, when I preached that night my text was "Your Choice. " As I

walked down the aisle, the large country church was packed with sinners. Every time I would look at a sinner, they would start shaking and crying. Beloved, we need more "kneeology."

Until just recently, two or three Saturday's a month here at my local church, the entire congregation assembled at 9:00 in the morning and we would fast for twenty-four hours. We would pray from 9:00 until 5:30 in the afternoon and, oh, how God would bless. I must say that

81

all those who refused to take part in those fast services have fallen by the wayside. Many of them are living in shame and disgrace today.

"VISION FROM THE WORD OF GOD:  AMERICA AND ALL NATIONS WILL SOON TURN TO GOD"

Psalm 22:27, Zechariah 2: 11,8:21-22, John 6:45, Psalm 2:8, and Romans 9:28.

On a Saturday morning in October, 1958, I was walking down Court Street here in Fulton. God spoke these words to me, "Everywhere you put the soles of your feet, I will give you for the Kingdom of God," (Joshua 1 :3.). Since that time I've walked around the capital in Washington D.C., the capitals of other nations, many U.S. state capitals, and thirty-two courthouses in thirty-two states of this nation. I've also stood on the capital steps of many other nations, and claimed them for the Kingdom of God.

In July of 1964, at the World's Fair in New York, I met with church leaders from all over the world. Then, in 1966, I met with many church leaders in this nation, and the mayors of many of the largest cities in America. In every city, every courthouse, and every capital I claimed them for the Kingdom of God. I have preached the Gospel in 327 colleges, and in many schools throughout the world. I've ministered to six foreign armies. I have met with several heads of states and announced this to them. I have stood in the international airports of over eighty nations, and claimed them for the Kingdom of God.

I see a cloud the size of a man's hand that will bring a spiritual revival that will heal the nations, and get the world ready for the return of Jesus (Mathew 24: 14). In a few years the United Nations will be moved to Jerusalem to become the political voice for all nations. This will be a theocratic government, not an Antichrist rule. The prophecy for it is Jeremiah 3: 17, "In that day, Jerusalem shall be called the throne of the Lord and all nations shall be gathered

82

unto it." Also see in Isaiah 2:3, Micah 4:2, and I Corinthians 6:2, 3 that all heads of state will gather there once a year. A revival will start that will heal the political system, and will do away with both major parties. Both political parties will be replaced by theocrats according to Daniel 7:27. Something will happen to change the minds of millions in a minute (see Romans 9:28). Red China will open to the Gospel before the year 2004. Wars will stop forever, verily, in this century, which the Bible backs up according to Psalm 46:9, Isaiah 2: 1-4, and the fourth Chapter of Micah. In twenty years, communism will only be a word in history books. In one hundred years all forms of government will give way to theocracy. It will happen.

I will leave on my eighty-fifth missionary trip January 24,2001. Missionary to sixty-eight Nations,  One in the Work of Christ for Healing Nations,

It was on a cold, windy, rainy day in October 1973, in Fulton, Missouri, and I had been preaching out of a chair all year. I went out to the dog pen to look at my dogs. The young dog ran and wrapped a chain around my leg, knocking my walking cane out of my hand. I lay hanging on the fence, and it was cold. The doors were shut, and my wife could not hear me yelling. Finally, I managed to get hold of the walking cane, and the dog unwrapped himself and went back into his box. I was hopping out of my dog pen, leaning on my walking cane, and there in the midst, God spoke these words, 'Bill, I am going to heal thee. " I took another step, and staggered. 'Bill, I will heal. thy nation." I took another step, 'Bill, I will heal thy nation." God healed me of that back disorder and the terrible condition I was in. That is the vision and revelation He has given me, and by His help and grace I am going to live to see it come to pass.
